so f**king nervous, think my Patriots will get beaten to a pulp by Seattle tonight... |
Thistle 01.02.2015 20:30 |
Well, they're back in the game. Don't think they'll win, though. It's not even a real sport anyway...just wait until the rugby starts this weekend ;) |
Thistle 01.02.2015 21:08 |
Well, they did! Who'd have thunk it? |
The King Of Rhye 01.02.2015 21:46 |
I thought Seattle was going to pull off the comeback for a minute there.....even thought they still had a slim chance after the interception, cus maybe the Patriots would have ended up taking a safety....(and I SO wanted to see the little-known 'fair catch kick' come into play.....lol).....but that encroachment penalty put the kibosh on that! Good game, anyway! And I have no sympathy for you being nervous, Brenski....just be glad you're not a Lions fan like me........LOL |

Why americans use an armor to play rugby? |
The King Of Rhye 02.02.2015 10:57 |
Are there problems with people having concussions in rugby? Even with all the 'armor' they wear in the NFL, that's been an issue.......(and look at pictures of players from the early days of American football..they used to wear a LOT less padding!!) Still I wonder if anyone even knows what I was talking about with that 'fair catch kick' thing.....lol........if there hadnt been that penalty and NE took a safety, that would have been the perfect occasion for it....... (actually I think that rule's a throwback to rugby or something) |
Thistle 02.02.2015 14:04 |
American football is lost on me lol. I watched some of it, and the atmosphere was awesome, but I'm not understanding it other than 4 points for a touchdown and 1 extra for converting. Seems adverts dictate stoppages.... Which would have been a nice chance to see a Drambuie commercial :p |

Cricket makes no sense to me either lol. |

couldn't believe it - thought it was all over i called it as "all over" when Patriots needed two scores and two "stops" . then when the Seattle "catch" happened my "resistance and denial" turned to "calm acceptance". then Seattle call "that pass play" - bonkers - with a guaranteed short-yardage expert on the field. bloody amazing stuff...... #seattledeflated Thistleboy...yeah but the TD does kinda work as it's more of a "touchdown" as in "landed" if you want to talk absolute rubbish terminology why is a score in rugby called a "try" ? ffs - it's a a success or it isn't....try means attempt... on that basis, in rugby you should get 5 pts every time you get the ball close to the line - cos you have "tried" lol |

they "got caught" by their own ex-coach grassing them up when coaching another team. and they got caught doing something everyone was doing. as for deflategate - bit judgmental aren't you? no findings yet when the NFL apologises for that in three weeks time, are YOU going to come back and admit yOU are also wrong? |

An attachment (picture courtesy of The Detroit Free Press) and a comment for TKoR. Lemieux is hated more than Danny Ainge;-) The cheap shot on Draper, and then his come-uppance by McCarty on 'Fight Night' will long be remembered. Regarding 'deflate-gate' and the Pats, they scored 28 points in the 2nd half against the Colts with correct balls (please do let all the anatomy jokes fly), and then won the SB. I find it rather laughable. 'Spygate' was big, but I semi-dismiss it. They weren't the first to do something similar, it's just that they got caught, similar to 'Bounty-gate'. I just wish the Ravens had a secondary, otherwise it would have been Baltimore as AFC champs. That said, all I can do is congratulate and salute the winners (WATC probably sounded rather sweet Sunday night) |

The NFL and Commissioner Goodell have zero credibility I have no doubt that the NFL will issue an apology given Kraft's and Goodell's cozy relationship. Sorry. I did not realize that BelaCHEAT was ok because "everyone was doing it". |

Manning has the stats - Brady has the rings. Montana's playoff records have all been beaten by (arguably) the best QB of all time - no12 |

Did not hear about Cleveland. You mention Rice and Peterson, but conveniently forget that Aaron Hernandez is a thug murderer? Oops suspected murderer ... has not been convicted yet. Regarding cheating, New England has had three strikes against them in the last 15 years: St Louis Rams, NY Jets and the Seattle Seahawks. |

Neither Balitmore, Minnesota nor the nFL reacted as swiftly with Peterson or Rice Panchgani wrote:Regarding cheating, New England has had three strikes against them in the last 15 years: St Louis Rams, NY Jets and the Seattle Seahawks.there is NO strike for St Louis or Seattle - unless you're no prejudging the outcome of an incomplete investigation - one that now implies the Colts actually tampered with the ONE ball that was actually deflated. As regards the JESTS - ex-coach in charge grassed Pats up for something HE did at New England and also somehting the whole league did. Only reason Patriots got caught was because their ex-coach TOLD the league while he was at the JESTS - can you not see how pathetic that is? everyone's doing it, but we'll grass them up because they keep beating the living shit out of us |
