just back from Vienna !
great show, I really enjoyed it so much. Wasn't aware of Brian's health problems but I think he delivered quite well.
Roger's AKOM was fantastic, great vocals !
and what about Mr. Lambert? well, I won't say I'm becoming a Glambert now, but .... seeing him on TV or thru your computer monitor is one thing, but seeing him live ... that's another story, gents !
He really hits you with his vocals ... and he's a good entertainer as well !
My excitement was much bigger before any of the QPR gigs I atendend years ago and must admit I was pretty reluctant yesterday just before getting into the Stadthalle, but at the end of the show I really felt that, as a pure music show, this collaboration is very much enjoyable.and feels more like the "Queen" spirit or essence or whatever you wanna call it.
By the way! wasn't aware neither of what was being played currently during the bass solo. The Invisible Man bit (with drums) was great, but "Nevermore" was specially beautiful !!
Yep Owen, I'm with you. It's "Days Of Our Lives" or AKOM. You'll get one or the other. Before the Vienna gig I was having this discussion with my girlfriend. She prefered they played TATDOOL (you know, tender song etc etc) but I had it clear I wanted to see AKOM: a much more interesting performance musically, with better vocals from Roger and the solo bit by Brian, which was excellent during the QPR era but still remains very nice!
