saw earlier today that Adam had twittered (twitted? tweeted?) that he had a 'big surprise announcement' to make today........ Glamberts were all in a tizzy........ turns out all it was was that the title of his forthcoming album is "The Original High".........whatever the heck that means Actually I'll probably buy it........hoping that he at least shows a bit of Queen influence......:D |

Dont like his solo stuff, but I hope he can get the success and recognition he deserves. |
The King Of Rhye 29.01.2015 16:13 |
I'll say I liked his first album more than his 2nd......if only cus it was more rock-oriented........... |

His 2nd album sold just 77,000 copies and I bought about 5 of those. If you re-try Adam's music, give "Underneath" one listen on YouTube or some other tracks from the last album. It starts off slow but builds and soars in Adam's way. Billboard magazine just published an article on Adam's Trespassing album contending it was under appreciated at release and should be "rediscovered". I hope people who are liking his voice on this tour will think about it. He just turned 33, so it's an exciting time for him either way. It's reported he's getting mobbed and can no longer take the tube in London, as more people recognize him after all the exposure from the New Years Eve concert and the tour. Getting to be a household name now. Good on him and Queen + AL. |

I would say that the bigger news here is actually sad and tragic meaning that we are not going to have a new studio l.p. released by Queen + Adam Lambert or just Queen. How VERY disappointing!!! I'm really mad and angry!!!! |
The King Of Rhye 31.01.2015 11:33 |
Hey, it still could happen.........took em 3 years after they started touring to do one with Paul........ |
gerry 31.01.2015 12:13 |
The king of Rhye: if youve got money to waste on adam lambert then you cant value money. Better buy some food and take it to your nearest food bank as it will do more good. |

Great news indeed. This means that the screaming goat will be focusing on his new stuff and stop touring with Brian and Roger, at least for a while. That will give (i hope) the boys time to release some Queen Material. Maybe a Dvd with an unseen concert. Maybe hammy 79' |
gerry 01.02.2015 03:37 |
fr1986: Adam Lambert has took valuable time up for Brian & Roger when they could have been doing more worth while projects. I hope now after this ridiculous circus of a tour they get all this shit Lambert virus out of there system and look back and feel highly embarrassed. |

WHY is there not a new studio l.p. being done, damn it?! |

It makes all of the sense in the world to do all sorts of things. People through all of time thought that if a recording artist does a solo project then somehow that means they have left a group but it is not so. Queen takes precedence always over solo projects in my opinion as a diehard fan. It otherwise is a colossal waste of time, effort, and money and opportunity for Queen to not be continuing doing new exciting things as both recording artists and as touring artists. Even Roger Taylor said they would be willing to record music after this tour even if it meant only a single or certain songs would be released as singles overtime. It's still confounds me the brainwashing that has been done to the public over the past 15 years to think and believe that musicians can only perform live, cannot record, or sell their music any longer. It is sad and pathetic beyond all belief and comprehension. There is no reason why Adam could not put this project off until after Queen do at least one new studio l.p., tour, and promote it before hand. |

So this album is getting released. We also know that they are working on a Q+AL Live DVD which they will not release until this tour is over. Since it appears they are going to South America in the fall, I expect a Q4 2015 or Q1 2016 release. I hope that Adam, Brian and Roger at least take a stab at working together on something new. They are terrific together and seem to love working with each other. I think that this could really result in something quite good. But performing songs from the amazing Queen catalog and creating new music are two very different things. There are two things I would not like to see happen: 1. B, R & A release any new music as "Queen" or Q+AL. 2. Adam putting his solo career on total park for Q+AL. JMHO YMMV |
AlexRocks 05.02.2015 20:47 |
Why is it SO vital and important that Adam does his solo project?! That is SO bizarre. An endless amount of people record music that never sees the light of day. God knows Queen know with their solo projects themselves. So you don't have to look far about that. I think it would make perfect sense as a matter of fact for them to do solo l.p.s and projects after a new Queen + Adam Lambert studio l.p. and tour as well and just time off as well! I am not going to apologize for my fandom either! (Oh, and, wha(?) about tour dates in South America later in the year?! What does that mean in terms of Adam touring to promote his solo l.p.?!). And there is no question that Queen can, have already, and will record and do new studio l.p.s in the future! None of this should stop archive projects either! Damn! |

^^^ Then how do you you explain saying "I remember when this was a Queen forum ..." |
thomasquinn 32989 17.02.2015 12:18 |
Because I don't see what AL-projects that do not involve Queen in any way have to do with QueenZone.com. It seems like discussing whatever Bad Company is up to. |
AlexRocks 17.02.2015 13:02 |
...because discussing the projects inform other human beings why Queen may or may not be doing something in particular. Neat, huh? |
