Took a while to decide to upload because I decided to go and enjoy the gig rather than worry about my Zoom!
Got a spot down near the B-Stage so was in a crowd of very enthusiastic Queen fans.
Having tweaked the sound a bit it actually sounds pretty good all things considered.
Recorded from barrier to right of B-Stage
Recorded using ZOOM H2 - Memory Card - PC - Adobe - Audacity - TLH
Once on my PC I put the raw file through Adobe Audition to tweak the sound.
I then tracked using Audacity before converting to FLAC using TLH.
There are a few drops in the high frequencies which I asssume were a result of me taking too many pics (some of which are included here)
For A CD split I suggest CD2 to start with track 19.
I uploaded this to DIME but thought the diehards here would like a chance to download.
Thanks for recording and sharing - sounding great so far, and you've got some great pictures there too. You weren't too far round from where we were (closer to the front of the B-stage).
And this boot also confirms that Brian topped out at over 10 minutes for the guitar solo. As a guitarist and massive May/Queen fan, even I find it too much!
Being a fan since the 70's and having the luck of seeing Queen with Freddie on a few occasions, was never too sure of Adam Lambert, even though I've defended him on other forums. This and the New Year Eve gig has reminded me how good Queen were - wished I got some bloody tickets now lol!
Anyway, enough waffle.
Thank you for this gig as it's great to hear them back on form.... Save Me is just beautiful... Body Language in the Bass Solo!?!
Nice call :-)
