who wrote this song? Is it known? It seems like for most of the songs with the writing credit of "Queen" it's pretty much known who wrote what.....I havent heard much about this one, really....
If I had to guess, the music sounds like it might be the result of a jam session (something like Innuendo), but the lyrics seem like something Brian might come up with.....reminiscent of Doin All Right and/or On My Way Up.........
i suppose that since it's evolved from a jam session it's written by eh, all of them.
What I find interesting is that proggy guitar bridge that is also present in I Guess We're Falling Out. I suppose this is a little idea Brian must have had ready before HOIT.

Embarrasing song. Lowest point on The Miracle. Highest point? You're right. Was it all worth it.
Lower point than Rain Must Fall or Party?? Uh......no.
I like HOIT a lot. But why is Rain Must Fall a low point? It's a typical Queen I retesting quirky song no more so than stuff from the early 70s
I guess it's the cheesiness of the backing track that gets me.....its not totally horrible tho.........the bass aint bad, and there is some nice guitar........
RMF always seemed like a Stevie Wonder song to me (circa IN SQUARE CIRCLE/CHARACTERS era) it's upbeat and a little Caribbean. Not too cheesy, I'm sure it would have helped to have an actual acoustic percussion track. I rate the song pretty high on the album. It's fun and spirited.
Beautiful guitar elements. There's just so much emphasis in Brian's playing
HOIT was a bit jerky in its elements like POTU but the musicianship is fantastic
I like the instruments and music to HOIT but have never really liked the lyrics, bit too cheesy. It has good energy and sounds like the band had fun playing it. It comes across with a very "live" feel.
