I don't really frequent the Announce section of the forum at all, and only pop in there every few months or so. Have I missed anything decent? I'm not a fan of live stuff at all, but every now and then a new gem pops up there. The last genuinely new and significant thing I remember seeing was the AKOM Townhouse demo tape, or possibly the alternate Cool Cat demo. Has there been anything like that that's leaked in the past 6 or 12 months? |

link ^ this is really the only significant Queen thing to leak out in the last couple years. It's a working version of Keep Yourself Alive, which ultimately proves correct the claims that there were 5 different studio versions of the song (not including De Lane Lea, which would make it six). The question of *how* it came out is an entirely different matter... Since it comes from a debut album acetate where all the other songs are identical to the album versions, the only logical conclusion is that KYA was the final song completed for the album. For people into the history of the band, this is a pretty substantial piece of information. Also - one of the recent versions of the Rock Band game included Tenement Funster and Long Away, meaning someone ripped the multi-tracks and we more or less have the master tapes of these songs (and about 30 others) at our disposal. This stuff is pretty monumental as well. |

link ^ when your post doesn't actually post, follow these instructions. The site owner isn't doing anything about it, so this quick fix is the best solution we have for now. |

Yes it was shared in flac, but the sound clips, just as the youtube one does. The link I shared is now dead. Do you want me to upload it again? |
| IanR 05.01.2015 05:47 |
There was also an early mix of COOL CAT, with the Bowie vocals, in studio quality. That was a pretty major leak. |

It's interesting to hear that that extra high harmony on 'alive' was an idea early in the process of creating the song, not just something they threw into the 'retake'. |

this is by far my fave take on KYA. Love the acoustic guitar sound all over it |
| Nitroboy 05.01.2015 07:56 |
So is this the KYA version that Brian May loves? I'm confused :P |
| Oscar J 05.01.2015 08:08 |
Isnt Brian's favourite just the De Lane Lea demo? That's my fav anyway. |

Thanks for the replies folks. Turns out I haven't missed anything, which is good, as I had everything that's been mentioned so far. |

Where can I find those Townhouse recordings than? |

I was hoping that the release of those rubbish bonus EPs would unlock a bit of a torrent of stuff from the collecting world with regards to studio material - a bit of a two fingers up to QPL on their farcical handling of "bonus material". |
| joerijoerijoeri 06.01.2015 08:50 |
Amazing stuff, those townhouse demo's. Was the whole album demoed? |
| Daz85 06.01.2015 08:59 |
Many thanks for these uploads, I seem to have missed them too. I believe I read a The Miracle-era mix of Too Much Love Will Kill You was also shared... any chance of that too please? |
| *goodco* 06.01.2015 09:50 |
I no longer have the direct link, but there are a couple on youtube. I've been working on my own 'Anthology' sets for the past 3-4 months. I didn't have the OYOL demo (though I just found it on youtube today). Don't know how I missed it earlier, so 'Thank you' for the link. Perhaps we could all work on our own 'anthology' release as far as posting the listings of tracks, links, etc....on this board. |
| Kuijpy 06.01.2015 10:17 |
We all can make our own anthology box now. But i'm Always affraid that when I'm ready that there Always will be new demo's leaking out. Just like GRanddame in 2011 |
| joerijoerijoeri 06.01.2015 11:44 |
Yeah I've been doing something similar. Would anyone have a decent mp3 of the Budokan version of Hangman for me? I only have a version that i ripped from youtube...which doesn't gives you the best sound. |
| DepeX 06.01.2015 12:26 |
Sorry, isn't this KYA version the same released on the Queen I 2011 Remastered Edition (Bonus Disc)? |
| Oscar J 06.01.2015 13:48 |
Nope, this is quite similar, but not the same version. |

Daz85 wrote: Many thanks for these uploads, I seem to have missed them too. I believe I read a The Miracle-era mix of Too Much Love Will Kill You was also shared... any chance of that too please?Wherever it is - it's 100% identical to what we hear on Made In Heaven. |

DepeX wrote: Sorry, isn't this KYA version the same released on the Queen I 2011 Remastered Edition (Bonus Disc)? No. That one is the very first Queen demo in 1971. This is probably from 1972. Can't you tell the difference from listening? It's massively different, both musically and sonically. |

Hey people! You lost my "Anthology" of demos, outtakes and pre-Queen recordings! Every track you mention here, excepting the OneYOLove demo, is there! Ready to download everything together or separately! link PS: I'm in the beach without internet connection, so this would be my unique post in a long time (until January 16th, I think). |
