Thank you very much Luca ! Beta - I had crappy upload speed, and nobody was getting from me the stuff I was seeding, so my share ratio was horribly low |

Wow ... Crazy sounds absolutely brilliant. I've forgotten what a good version of the song this is. Bri really lets it rip in the coda. I'd kill to hear the whole show in this quality. |

Thanks a lot for sharing this, BootLuca. The band was on Fire, and that crowd...fantastic! This is my favorite live version of this song. I really loved when the crowd started to sing the chorus after the song was finished. Freddie was happy! Is it possible that the producers of the Kampuchea album have the Queen multitracks in their possession? I hope QP find the multis of this show, because this would make a great DVD release. |

For some reason I can't find the thread at this moment, but if I remember correctly, it was The Real Wizard that mentioned that they had been recovered. Let's hope he'll show up and elaborate, or you might want to PM him if you're really interested. |

Who needs multitracks? |

pittrek wrote: Who needs multitracks?LOL I know what you're saying, but remember that their excuse to not release the DVD is that they didn't have the multitracks. They have the perfect video, so they're waiting for the perfect audio to appear. I know miracles can be performed today, but can they really turn the avaiable audio into 5.1 and make it sound like it was 5.1 from the beginning? It's good to know, that at least, some sources are claiming that the multis were founded. This can be the best Queen performance we will ever see on DVD. Fantastic show! |

But, if they use the online channels to let fans know that these things are missing, and for the fans to keep an eye open for it in case they have a lead about the missing stuff, i think it would be nice if they could update the fans on these things, at least to let those - who are playing detective - know that they can turn their attention to other things. Just saying... |

We definitely shouldn't have a sense of entitlement to information about stuff that doesn't belong to us. They'll just say what they want to say and release what they want to release. And it's been working well so far - the Milton Keynes, Wembley and Rainbow releases of the past decade have all been great overall. |

I don't feel entitled to anything, but i expect respect - not to me particulary - but for the community that they use to their advantage. As far as i know, they never updated the information about the missing tapes from the NOTW sessions, so i assume that they never recovered anything. I think it would be disrespectful to the fans if indeed they have recovered some tapes and never said a word to the same fans they asked for help in the first place. If Brian can update and thank the fans on his soapbox for minor things such as "Where is this church?", and say that the search is over, they could and should apply the same concept when they ask for help on the bigger stuff. It's not a question of being entitled to anything. Common sense, no? |

You can see the list here: link ("God Save The Queen" was found since that posting. No word if anything else was found since) |
MercurialFreddie 08.01.2015 19:00 |
Hm... this list made me sad. How would anyone steal those things.... It's a shame that Spread Your Wings got lost and at the same time it amazes me that they remastered this track really really good without going back to the original tapes. |
