Apparently I missed this information. He'll be signing copies of his stereoscopic Diableries book at $60 a pop.
Purchasing the book guarantees a place in line.
I'd gone to his previous signing for BANG! ... where myticket billed him as BRAIN MAY.
Just thought I'd post for anyone in SoCal
EVENT GUIDELINES: [listu] [li]Your Book Soup Receipt for Diableries is your line ticket. Please save your receipt. [li]Photos from the line are okay. [li]ABSOLUTELY NO MEMORABILIA. [/listu]
No memorabilia. What a wanker.
60 dollars for an autographed book full of non Queen related bullcrap.
No thanks.

I think that is quite fair to be honest. I can see how you might think it is harsh but the fact is this is a non Queen related event, why should people who bought the book miss out because some people want a signed copy of Hot Space that they can flog on Ebay? It is sad that this the reality of the situation but I think Brian or his reps are only trying to look after the people who buy the book. Brian won't be doing a 12 hour shift signing stuff, I am sure he will happily do so on the Tour as he has always done.
^I get both sides a bit. If it were myself I'd limit an additional item as well.
6 hours of signing is hardly much to ask once every couple of years.
I'd been to the prior one for his BANG! ... history of the uni...
Attendance was fair. There was a guy who had brought his replica (I think he was a Luthier) and I'd (fanboy ib extremis) brought my copy of FURIA and Star Fleet (vinyl) Nothing says absurdly devoted fan like something obscure.
Silly me. I should have just brought the sleeve and snuck it in the book. I gave Brian a drawing I'd just finished of him. Regrettably I never took a picture of it. It was pretty good by my standards . Not great but good.
That said. The signing for BANG was over fairly quickly. I've known some signings to take 6-7 hours.
