There is a photo of them together. Did their roads met at any point, or with any member of Queen whatsoever? Both used rock&theatrics so i dont find it unlikely if there was mutual appreciation. By the way i saw the new documentary "Super Dooper Alice Cooper" and its quite fascinating. photo of them: link |

I think Alice has a soft spot for Queen, he often plays their songs on planet rock and has even drawn a picture of Freddie. You can find the picture on this thread:- link Brian has played live with Alice also. |

link not the first time Brian played with Alice btw, Alice Cooper song and album titles have been the most influential for Queen/solo tracks;-) Killer->Killer Queen No More Mr. Nice Guy->Mr. Bad Guy Titanic Overture->Overture Piccante Living->Living On My Own I'm Going Home->I'm Going Slightly Mad, Guide Me Home Be My Lover->Your Kind Of Lover Levity Ball->Dreamer's Ball Easy Action->Action This Day Love It To Death->Death On Two Legs, Love Kills Crazy Little Child->Crazy Little Thing Called Love It's Hot Tonight->Hot Space, Tonight Yeah, Yeah, Yeah->Yeah Gutter Cat vs. Jets->Delilah and quite a few more Thanks for the image link. |

You are jumping to the conclusion that just because the track names are similar, they are somewhat inspired by him. IS this forum messed up or what these days? Everytime I quote someone, something weird happens with the resultant post.... |
| The Real Wizard 02.11.2014 18:35 |
If the last thing in the quote is a link it gets all messed up. It's been like this for ages (or even since day one). Solution - press enter to create a line break between the link and the [/ QUOTE ] tag and you'll be good to go. These basic functional flaws should not exist on a forum used by thousands of people (and solved by one of them who isn't a moderator)... but nobody asked my opinion. |

This post reminds me of an amusing anecdote in my personal Queen history. A couple of weeks after seven seas of rhye's release, I walked into my local to meet my mates and one of them addressed me: "you'll know, - is Alice Cooper in that group Queen?" They had been debating the fact, after ,Queen's TOTP debut, one of them swearing down that Freddie was Alice, complete with rapier ! (Fred's mike stand) |
| gerry 03.11.2014 04:40 |
yeah Freddie's make up and costumes were similar to Alice cooper in 1974. They could have been twins at birth by the way they both looked in the 70s ! |
| Apocalipsis_Darko 03.11.2014 10:04 |
I talked with Alice Cooper, and told me he loves Queen and also Freddie was a good friend, but he always was talking to his wife! hilarious! Is because the Alice's wife studied classic dance and loves opera. |

^^^ haha...very Freddie ! |

Love of my Life -> Love of my Life (!!!) You Didn’t Try to Call Me -> Call Me God Bless America -> God Save the Queen and so on... I simply happened to notice a ton of similarities between the artist's title tracks, whether it was one word or more. There's over 50 Alice->Queen/solo Is It My Body->Body Language, A Human Body, Is It Me? Woman Machine->Machines, and so on. And then there's the 20 or so Queen->Alice Princes of the Universe->Prince Of Darkness Gimme The Prize->Gimme You and I->You and Me It's Late->It's Much Too Late.... All for fun. Just like the Zappa references. Thanks for those. One track that cannot be debated as to being influential: link Soundtrack title and closing track in the first line of lyrics, and he even had a video done that was used as an outline for the movie;-) |

I also have a very soft spot for Alice, it's nice he was a friend of Freddie's. I updated the dead link for the drawing he made of Freddie. link |

I was having a pint (or 12!!!!) outside a pub in London years ago and he walked passed sans make up and I said to my mate oh that was Alice Cooper. He didn't believe of course. Then about 10 minutes later he walks back from where he'd gone obviously massively lost. I offered my handy direction and we all lived happily ever. Cool story bro thanks. |

I think Roy Thomas. Baker was introduced to Alice by Queen. |
