Just a query really. Does anyone not if Queen productions have anything planned as far as releases go for 2015? |
The King Of Rhye 01.11.2014 11:50 |
I don't believe anything is officially announced as of now..............considering there was something that came out a few months ago, and another thing coming out shortly................... What's likely? Another compilation of some sort maybe........(groan)............possibly a Queen + AL live cd and/or dvd............ |
Marknow 01.11.2014 12:07 |
Due to popular demand there should be something from the tour. I would love to see another Queen box set next year to follow up on the Rainbow release and the 40 year anniversary theme. Live at the Hammersmith Odeon and something from Japan too, would make a great release to get them out in the best possible quality. Nothing at all planned but I hope they build on the momentum generated from this years Rainbow release, keep 'em coming I say! :) |

Probably a Q+AL live release, since Roger more or less said that it'll be out at 'some point'. |
softcalavera2 01.11.2014 19:31 |
I think that the next official release will be "Q+AL Live Sydney 2014". CD + DVD/Blu Ray. Taylor said "the group did film a show in Sydney and also recorded audio every night that will be out there at some point" |

If they did film the second, they might have a merge in mind to make one concert film - if that's the case, I really hope they have the good taste NOT to use Another One Bites the Dust from the second night, with Lady Gaga. |

Q+AL live release deffo, Greg Brooks did say that Bri & Rog were looking at some more tracks to work on, sail away sweet sister being one ! I would imagine QP will get more stuff out while the band is hot. |

So long as they aren't stitched on to another meaningless compilation ! If there's 3 tracks give us an e.p. |
cmsdrums 02.11.2014 06:53 |
What are they planning to do with Sail Away Sweet Sister? Yes I'd like to hear that track, like any other, with Freddie singing it out of curiosity, but if there was ever a Queen song that is pretty much perfect, has the 'Queen sound' and doesn't suffer from Freddie not singing the lead, then it's that one. |
jondickens1 02.11.2014 10:38 |
Sail away sweet sister with Freddie on vocals really would be awesome! What were the other tracks mentioned, can anyone recall? |
Oscar J 02.11.2014 11:28 |
Sail Away Sweet Sister is a track I always skip. The namby-pamby lyrics coupled with Brian's shaky tenor... weakest track on The Game for sure, IMO. |

Er........I think not................its one of my personal favorites from The Game! I think Brian's voice suits the song...........and I rather like the lyrics........I even like the demo version on the 2011 bonus disc............. |

I think if you can have Freddie's voice in your head singing sail away....you realise it would be fecking awesome, and that being the case, why isn't it on QF ? |

The lyrics of SASS were too personal to Brian, which is probably why he sang on the track. But it'd be cool to hear Mercury's interpretation. Who am I kidding - Mercury would sound great singing the phone book. |

My thoughts for 2015 - I would imagine there would be a re-release of Rock Montreal since it is being played in 4K in cinemas. - Q+AL Live Blu-Ray and CD |

Surely even QP can't sink that low. At least with Wembley they had different extras each time. |
jondickens1 03.11.2014 09:46 |
Rock Montreal again?! Probably knowing Queen Productions. Jeez. I'd rather have Queen + Adam Lambert release a live cd/bluray than yet another re re release. At least it's something new. I'm looking forward to hearing Freddie singing SASS though. And I wonder what other tracks Brian and Roger will work on? What did Greg Brookes say at the convention? |
Adam Unger (QueenVault.com) 03.11.2014 09:48 |
I'm not saying it (Rock Montreal) is the most exciting release, but it would make sense. It is not currently on catalogue with Universal Music and it is currently being shown in cinemas in 4k. I would think you'd want a release available for purchase to go along with this? |
Vali 03.11.2014 09:55 |
I'll be accepting any release, being it another version of ANATO, Wembley, Freddie Tribute, Montreal, Greatest Hits, etc etc etc ... I'll be accepting whatever .... as long as we don't get a THIRD remix from William Orbit. Not even a remix attempt on "Arboria (planet of the tree men)". This man alone has ruined the good taste that the excellent Rainbow release left in our mouths. |
MercurialFreddie 03.11.2014 10:04 |
@Adam Queen Rock Montreal was released via Eagle Rock Entert. and Queen Productions. Now Eagle Rock is handling the 4K remaster project so unless they will release both nights (if the footage still exists) people won't buy it. Is it true that what they released on Rock Montreal is all what they've got in the archives from that gig ? If so, then releasing it with audio from both nights would be the only sensible thing. |
jondickens1 03.11.2014 11:06 |
A double cd from both nights. Hmmm, I might get that being as my ex girlfriend stole my last copy. But I won't bother with the bluray. I'm happy with what I have already, especially as it has live aid as 5 he bonus. God knows why Live Aid is tagged on tho. The only connection between Montreal and Live a aid as far as I can see is Freddie wears a white vest in them both ?? |
