Hi, I just downloaded the new Queen song "There Must Be More To Life Than This" w/ Michael Jackson, downloaded "Let Me In Your Heart Again" & the ballad version of "Love Kills" and all I can say, I'm glad I got these for free, they are not worth the money as singles and Queen "Forever" will surely be a huge flop cause of it too. So what if the current single is getting big airplay in the UK, it won't last without live performances and Adam Lambert isn't the singer to do it either. Their only hope is a full length release full of classic melodic metal rock harkening back to the first two albums for starters, along with new ideas from Adam, Brian and Roger all singing...."There Must Be More To Life Than This" is utter crap and I'm not kidding either. Michael Jackson doesn't come in till the end of the plodding uptempo ballad but no doubt, hard core Queen fans wlll bash me for this honest review and they will go out and purchase not only the single, but spend their USD/ Euros on "Forever" too. What a complete waste of time it was to download this. If anyone wants a copy of any or all three songs, email me at williamkeithmahler@gmail.com and they will be sent promptly without hassle direct from me...
You can find very easily this tracks in YouTube, The Pirate Bay, RuTracker, etc.
And I'm sure a lot of people, like me, are agree with you about There Must Be More To Life Than This.
I couldn't find em in piratebay and that's my favorite place to go for everything nowadays, I let hotbot.com do the nasty work for the research and found some way out of the way place on the net that has all three songs as single torrents each...it almost trashed windows7 to the point of a 1/2 hour freeze of the whole os just for d/l the three songs and it was a complete waste of time..the only honorable mention is the ballad version of "love kills" and even that well, it probably will do well in the uk but doesn't stand a chance for chart success or radio play here in the USA sad to say.
Somehow I think the band dont expect huge sales: They even havent made a huge promotion, just a very random thing here and there.
As a matter of fact I get the feeling that the band is not interested at all in Forever...

People can hear these tracks on radio and make their own decisions. Because you don't like them doesn't make them crap
If you don't like it, don't buy it
Oh, hang on, you didn't buy it, you STOLE it!
@WKMahlerMahlers.Com.. these websites offer you the tracks as they were presented during BBC2 Chris Evans show, so it's not "album quality", they're compressed as hell, some of the leaked versions were mono and one song is going to sound different (bearing in mind that we will get fixed mix of There Must Be More.... on Queen Forever CD).
As to the TMBMTLTT - it's William Orbit's mix, BM & RT both confirmed that they have made their own but basically we'll hear what the Jacko estate agreed to be heard. The lyrics are different than the 1985 solo version and MJ is singing majority of the song, the second and the third stanza as FM's is not that audible on the third stanza. In my and others' opinion Orbit overworked the song and admitted himself to do it but summed it up with "it's a technical thing". I'd like to hear what Brian and Roger mixed and the possibly finished Queen version recorded during the Works sessions.
These tracks aren't THAT bad. And if you really think that vocals and delivery are disastrous then listen to this guy and share your opinions: link

Mahler's quality as a musician is pretty disastrous in itself ^, nearly on par with Treasure Moment
I don't know, the whole point of music is to be entertained is it not?
And Mahler has certainly entertained the hell out of me over the years. I always end up wetting my hole laughing.
Treasure Moment not so much.
So glad to see Mr WK Mahler has slipped the straightjacket and is out and about again. He and I regularly crossed swords on the Queen newsgroup. Something about the Prophets Song being about aids or something.
As far as this goes, music is a personal opinion. We all are entitled to our own thoughts. I do have something of a problem though with him freely admitting he stole the files and then offers to distribute accordingly. That is pretty bad and should constitute a flogging.
heh toon86, take a long walk off a short peir okay? really,i could give a rats ass about what you say about me and alt.music.queen, if not for me that newsgroup would've died years ago...
Jesus Christ on a crutch! Is this asshole (WKMahler) still alive?
He used to pollute the old Queen newsgroup with his shitty recordings. Honestly thought he had adapted the stage name of William Hung at one point, then I realized that Mr. Hung had some talent in comparison.
I am sure they aren't the greatest things Queen has ever released, but if his opinion is that it sucks, then I am sure it is amazing!
