Hey,
Just wanted to inform you that the "2014 remaster" versions of well-known songs and Love Kills and LMIYHA are among the 30 seconds snippets on the amazon.
The fact that TMBMTLTT isn't among the snippets could mean that Will. Orbit is still fixing the track.
It's really a shame that those "2014 remastered" versions really don't differ from the 2011 remasters. Now I wonder what GT meant when he said that "there has to be an element of surprise"....
So in the end "new takes on the well-known songs" turned out to be a marketing ploy.
The snippets are listed in the "All downloads section" [bottom of the page, it's easier to find them if the list is categorised by release date]: link
Cheers !
Martin
Maybe this CD counteins new edits of the tracks, in a CD promo of the album, a guy of the queen online forum says that PTG lost the intro in this compilation
Surely Orbit can't still be working on the track a week and a hlf before it hits stores. That can't be practically possible can it?
Maybe it's something to do with differing rights or something?
Jeez, this is properly fucked up. I never expected to find any "new takes" there, really, but the fact there is still no official single and no promo just one and a half weeks before the release is just saddening. This album might sink spectacularly. The whole TMBMTLTT tale is quite revolting. They managed to generate so much buzz about these duets months ago and now what?!?

There is an official promo video they have released (at least online) for Love Kills
Just had a look. It's getting even more embarrassing.
The Ballad totally grew on me and I think it's really good now, but how can they promote it with an online montage video and no airplay is beyond my comprehension.
Actually it is played on the radio. I've personally haven't heard it but my friends told me that they were astonished as they've heard track with Freddie on vocals which they didn't know and it turned out that it was Love Kills so some stations are definitely playing it. You can hear it on BBC radio 2 for sure at least once a day. I think that it is also included in some playlist on spotify...
I bet that these new songs will be played to death on and after the release date of Queen Forever.
As for the video....If I'd have to make this video, then I'd mix Metropolis montage / Queen in studio montage + video from the Works tour.

The montage is really bad too. Like, a five minute job.
Puzzled why Love Kills was chosen as a single as it's really not that different to the original version and there have been so many remixes made in the past. There strongest track is LMIYHA which they could of released first and thrown some cash behind it to make a great video.
How many promo videos is this now with a slide show of photos sorry I mean montage, and I agree it is embarrassing coming from a band as big as Queen it just looks cheap as if they couldn't be arsed. Roger stated it was there label there signed to who wanted this release. I think Brian and Roger are more interested in Lambert at the moment touring and possibly new material.
Roger actually admitted in classic rock that Queen played on Freddies version of "Love Kills" back in 1984.
I was always sure Queen were on that single as i can spot
