For those of us who saw many shows with Paul Rodgers in the 2005-08 era, which cities had the best / most responsive audiences? I can tell the Italian fans were crazy good, as evidenced by the many videos.. |

I know it's not in Europe, but Vancouver had one of the best audiences for ANY show I've been to, Queen+ or not Queen+, let's put it that way :) |

I loved the Italian audiences but the best and most unique audience was Brixton Academy, London in my opinion. It was the hardest core fan audience and we literally knew dozens of people there. In the street, in nearby pubs, in the queue - everywhere you met fans from all over Europe you already knew from previous occasions. It was the first full concert of two Queen members since the Freddie Tribute concert and the anticipation was so huge, you could almost touch it. The show started with the full track 13 from the MIH album which can be very long when you stand in complete darkness and wait for the first Queen concert of the century :-) It was followed by Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and for a moment we thought we must be in the wrong show but then Paul Rodgers came out for the a capella version of "Reaching Out" - very courageous in front of an insane Queen audience. When the curtain fell the crowd roared, it was so exciting it's hard to describe. The venue was so small that we could sense how nervous Brian was but he lost that very soon. It was not the best show from 2005/06/08 but certainly outstanding. |

People went nuts here in Argentina in 2008, no shows in South America in 2005/2006, of course. |

Brasil as well. |

I also recall thinking that had they replaced Paul Rodgers with a cardboard cutout of Kermit the Frog, the reaction wouldn't have been any different. ...of course this wouldn't be the case in the US, as Bad Company were huge there in the 70s. I can only imagine the anticipation for Zeppelin at the O2 in 2007. |

Amazing atmosphere, the magic was there in the air every second and, despite not being their best performance, it was indeed a very special evening :-) As for the other QPR shows I attended, Barcelona 2005 was on fire (not so much in 2008), and Rome & Madrid 2008 were a blast as well ! |

Barcelona 2005 is a great show - did a good Bootleg of that ever surface? Can only recall hearing a B+ Quality tape surfacing. |

The 2005 tour was great but by the 2008 tour the excitement and anticipation seemed to dwindle a little. I went to both Nottingham & Newcastle on the 2008 tour and can honestly say the atmosphere at the Nottingham show was non existent. Watch the version of TSMGO which was put up on Brian's website the other day, the audience are like lifeless zombies! Newcastle was a bit better though. |

Vienna 2005 was a great show for me as it was also my first, Brian played the Blue Danube, etc. However, San Diego 2006 was way better and the crowd went insane even with Paul's material. I dare say, especially with Paul's material! He was particularly charismatic that night, the crowd responded nicely and the band played tight. |

in 2008 Liverpool had a good atmosphere and they played a good show. Birmingham was a bit lacking in crowd responce. The 2005 dates in Birmingham and Manchester had great crowd reaction despite PR only spending half the set on stage, but the Wembley show was awful. not the bands fault, but the venue. At the time the Arena was being referbed and a temporary venue,in effect a very large long tent was used. it had a capacity of 10,000 with about 1000 raised tier seating at the back. Although sold out it wasnt a great night. BM even said sorry about this fucking shit hole! |

I went to: Frankfurt 2005 Antwerp 2005 Dortmund 2005 Rotterdam 2005 Cologne 2005 Arnhem 2005 Antwerp 2008 Best crowd: Rotterdam 2005, Arnhem 2005 Worst crowd: Dortmund 2005. Seated gig. Can't believe the first QPR tour was almost 10 years ago... |

Was also at Newcastle in 2005 which was the first proper British date on that tour (not counting Brixton) and I've never experienced anything like it. I don't think I was alone in thinking I'd never see 'Queen' live, and whatever you think of PR, if it weren't for him we probably wouldn't have. Ace show with a little bit of Sunshine of your Love thrown in as well |

I went to; Paris (France) Rotterdam (Holland) Arnhem (Holland) Best show for me was Rotterdam. Great atmosphere. |

It was just mindblowing. They sang everything, and it was crazy! The beginning of the show with TYMD was unbelievable. |
