WTF? How did this get out ? :-(
Why the sad smiley?
Because he may own a copy of this gig and as soon as a rarity becomes available you just cant sell it for nice money (or an interesting rarity)
Except Pittrek has no interest in selling any bootlegs, but he may have traded this with both parties agreeing on a certain amount of time, in which the material in question is not to be shared. That's why he's bummed out.

It needs a proper transfer.
Easy and cheap enough to be fair.
Easy if you have the master.
If I remember correctly this comes from a 8mm > ? > vhs transfer.
Glad I never traded my rarities for this one.
Thanks for the link.
In this digital age it has not a lot of meaning anymore... But when visiting queen concert s it wasnt allowed to bring cameras...:)
For me.. i wished all the rarities were out in the open. And not shared between a select group. Pittrek did get a sad face. He knows.
Well, this time wasnt david blamed.

8mm film = silent = series of photos. As long as there is no sound on it, there is no copyright for Queen. The owner of the footage can do whatever he/she wants with it. The fact that you were not allowed to bring in cameras back in the day doesn't change this. A private silent 8mm film is a private silent 8mm film. Big auction houses sell these all the time.
Things were a lot more lax in the 70s.
If there's a show with 20 minutes of footage, it means someone waltzed into the venue with seven reels of film. It was just a different time...
As for this footage in itself - it's shot really close to the stage. The master probably looks great, but this is a few generations away.
Fyi. I want everything to be shared.. I just wanted to point out the hypocrisy about stuff being shared.
Most of all rarities is illegaly obtained in some way. In most cases I dont mind at all.

If all you can think about is the legalities (which absolutely are not black and white, for the record), then go post on Queenonline where people are talking about Wembley '86 for the 4,000th time.
Queen Productions knows this website exists, and they don't care about what's shared here - as long as it isn't something that can be bought in the shop.
We're trying to gather and discuss history here. Please don't taint a thread that is supposed to be about a great find. This isn't the place for it.
