What do you think is the best unreleased Queen track that you've heard? And which one had enough going for it to have (fairly) easily been brushed up to standard?
My choice: Silver Salmon. I think it's the best unreleased track by far. link
(It also reminds me of early Black Sabbath too.)
Silver Salmon rocks. I have actually included it on my News Of The World iTunes album, making it one of the best songs on there. It also contains some of Taylor's greatest drumming ever.

I would say "Feelings" which was a bonus track on "News of the world" a couple of years ago,
its a great song and freddies vocals are in fine form.
Also did you all know that the Michael Jackson /Freddie track on the forth coming Queen album
"Theres more to life than this" (william orbit remix) was also recorded as a Queen Version track
and Roger said on the Chris Evans breakfast show that they were not allowed to release the Queen version.
So..... fans got robbed again!

No, Brian and Roger did their own mix of the song - it was still using Freddie and Michael's vocals.
I like "I guess we're falling out" a lot. Sounds like a more than decent albumtrack to me.
Also "Face it alone". Very dramatic tune, very nice. Hopefully a more complete version exists.
I just remembered today, one day, i read a book about Queen, in late 80s Freddie recorded a song (voice and piano only i imagine) as a request of a dying fan in the hospital. Freddie gave the tape to him but unfortunately, the fan died.
Queen Production asked if the family can give the tape back but the fan gave orders to bury the tape with him.
yes i remember that story in the papers years ago.
Freddie was touched that the fan was dying so decided to record a very special song for the fan.
The tape did indeed get put in the fans coffin for ever.
I cant be sure about this but i think the fan died of leukemia.
Surely they didn't give him a full multitrack tape ?? If they recorded this in a studio, then copied the song onto cassette which was given to the fan, can we assume that it's still in the archives ?
I very much doubt that recording is around as freddie would have demanded that the master be erased.
sad because i am as curious as you as to what it sounded like?
This story should better be forgotten...some people will have strange ideas like "How long does a magnetic tape can "survive" six feet under" ?
But seriously I 've heard about that story too. I think Brian has mentioned it somewhere,
