I think the whole point of their body of work being a "legacy" is that yes, it will live on.
For me there is nothing that they could ever do or say that could possibly negate that body of work- it remains strong and will do so forever.
Music fans in 2050 will not be discussing who B&R played with in 2014- they'll be playing Innuendo or ANATO.
Nice edit bail.
In the original post, fofum basically questioned why Brian and Roger would continue to 'sell themselves out', rather than allow their legacy to speak for itself.
I must say, I don't understand how the fact that they're playing music at the moment somehow defiles their legacy. If anything, it helps pass it to new generations.
I don't think this 'forum' is worthy of any genuinely serious discussion.
Hey, maybe if I'd posted a picture from the late 80's of Fred looking unwell it would have gone down better ;)

The history shows that there are lots and lots of awesome artists (is not limited to musicians) who, after a period of success and fame, fade away if they do not promote their work... There are lots of examples.
The fact that Queen is currently so popular doesnt mean that they will remain forever popular.

You haven't proven a thing. Yes, some people have sought pictures of Freddie towards the end of his life - some simply because it's interesting to get a window into a scarcely documented time, some out of morbid curiosity.
Either way, that has nothing to do with the fact that you were wrong in your original post - the fact that people disagree with you isn't a display of our lack for 'serious discussion'. Your juvenile cop out, however, does demonstrate such a lack of capability.
Taken on the chin. Thanks for pointing out a genuine flaw in my character. Something to learn from.
Maybe this is the place for more serious discussion ;)
Haha... no need to feel bad Tom. I was being a douche. I deleted the original post because when I read it back I didn't even agree with myself. No hard feelings :)
