Pink Floyd will release their new album "The Endless River" also on November 7th/10th. It's also only an album with some reworkes old songs from the 1993/94 sessions....and - it's already # 3 in the English and for example # 2 in the German Amazon charts today... Imagine what a megaselling album (rest-) Queen could do if they wanted to.... So it wouldn't become a competition, Pink Floyd will rule.... If your asking for sales rank of "Queen-Forever": Deluxe Edition # 21, regular # 149............. Although I'm not a crazy PF fan - at the moment I'm more excited about the new PF Album than for that "expanded" Best Of from our band........... |

Pink Floyd will do a LOT better, just because they haven't spent the last 20 years prostituting themselves. There's a lot of demand for Floyd stuff because their fans have had a lot less to chew on over the years. |

Pink Floyd fans are dying to get some live stuff from the '70s, like the Brighton Dome shows or the full sessions of Pompeii. Till this album, Pink Floyd only remastered their old albums, so i won't complain about the activities of Brian & Roger, a lot of people only see the negative part, i prefer to see the good stuff. |

Pink Floyd or Zeppelin fans don't have the same amount of live shows. Sayng that I don't want defend Queen, 'cause their live DVDs/CDS were not always procuded very well...for example Budapest.... On the other side Pink Floyd or Zepp fans had a lot more of studio stuff: Plant's last three solo albums are amazing, as well as "On an island" by David Gilmour (toghter with his "Live in Gdansk". We had Cosmos Rock (that I like it very much) and Roger's new solo album (good but not a masterpiece)...and NO Queen since "Queen Forever" is not new stuff. |

Yes, it's about ideas and takes they've recorded when they were recording Division Bell, but none of the new songs was ever heard. You can find some outtakes from 93, but they're basically Gilmour doing some riffs that really looked like Run Like Hell ('79). On the other side, we have Queen Forever, with THREE "new" songs, which they ALREADY PLAYED at the radio (And i consider it a stupid idea), and the whole album is based on already known songs. The only snippet from Endless River we got is the 20 seconds from the PF website! This makes the album's release AT LEAST more expected than a album that contains only lots of known songs. I'm a Queen fan, I'm also a Pink Floyd fan and I've been looking for bootlegs from Floyd way earlier than Queen ones. Nowadays, I'm more into Queen's music than into PF, but Endless River >>>>>>>>> Queen Forever |

Umm no, I did not miss anything. And it is ridiculous you'd present that as being in any way comparable to Queen's output of late. Get back to me when Pink Floyd have hired 2 new singers for 3 world tours + live albums, or remastered their entire catalogue for CD twice, or put out a Hard Rock compilation, a Ballads compilation, god knows how may deep cuts compilations and 2 more greatest hits, a or gone on American Idol, or rerecorded Wish You Were Here with One DIrection, or put out numerous shitty dance remix singles. I mean christ, just compare their discographies from the last 20 years. Queen have had 10 different compilation albums between the USA & the UK, just in the last 17 years and that's not even counting the 4 box sets of singles. They've had 4 archive live releases just in the last 10 years, Pink Floyd have had 2 in 20 years. Pink Floyd have remained tight lipped and made public appearances under the banner an exceedingly rare occurrence, whilst Queen have made sure they are still plastered all over everyone's TVs. There is simply no comparison whatsoever. Queen fans are both saturated and blessed with a wealth of releases on an almost yearly basis. |
