Just gotta say that the performance at Auckland... a very long 30 year wait for kiwi queenies haha was A+++!! Great to get a Maori Kia Ora from the man who wrote We will rock you before 39, although Roger was not one to talk much on stage.. has he always been quiet in that regards... Been a week now and it still hasn't really sunk in still feels surreal that I have joined the Queen live club albeit "half Queen"
Anyway the set list... and a almost complete covering of all of the past studio albums just Innuendo the album that escaped any mention... Would have loved to hear Headlong

Of Course Freddie appeared for the songs Love of my life and Bohemian Rhapsody no some sort of tribute on the big screen for John Deacon like the small one they did along with Freddie on the Paul Rodgers tour during Days of our lives... although he's not dead and there is only so much you can do from a band who really want him back in the band and someone who just wants the quiet life and they did play two of his songs...
Small correction to your set list: It was a drum duet or drum battle (not a drum solo) between Roger and his son Rufus "Tiger" Taylor.
Also, photos of John Deacon were projected up on the screen during Roger's vocal solo. At the shows I attended it was during his solo of "These Are The Days." In NZ Roger sang "A Kind Of Magic" and I assume those same photos of the original band were projected during that song?
I'm so glad you enjoyed this show which indeed was A++++.\
I'm guessing this was the Wednesday show?
It was OUTSTANDING. I had a front row seat right in the corner where the runway to the small stage came out - there were 12,000 people there but it felt like they were in my front room.

Lucky you...........I was down beside the mixing desk on the Thursday night, sweet spot for the sound but not the best view......don't ya hate tall people in front of you at gigs? :-P
Anyway, I also went to the 2nd Melbourne show & have to say I thought Auckland was better all round, much better audience vibe which surprised me a bit & band was better. Roger struggled a bit vocally at the Melbourne show, might have been a bit under the weather, but was superb at Akld. The one song I wanted to hear most, TSMGO got played in Melbourne along with TATDOOL, so was stoked they did AKOM & IWTBF in Akld.
Akld highlights for me were NIH, FBG (had to chuckle at Brian trying to get the guitar cam in the right position where he turns it around during the outro - everything was upside down on the big screen), Brian playing a bit of Don't Dream It's Over, Brians solo (he had to change to the backup red special after the Last Horizon part, not sure if he broke a string or something stopped working, & just played on like nothing had happened, what a pro!), definitely UP, DA(loved Brian's soloing on this), WWRY & WATC. Okay, the whole show was a highlight, you get the drift!!
I flew to Auckland for the concerts and so glad I did. These two shows were amazingly perfect, was nothing to complain. Here is my recording of the last show if anyone wants to listen. :)
They were amazing shows. Yip, I was at the Wednesday concert. Brian did mention Crowded house that night but it was the next nighters that were the lucky ones to hear him play part of Don't dream its over.. It was superb show I was up in the top right hand corner..."the last selfie Brian took!!"
