Haven't checked but I'm supposed to get it next week from amazon.ca. |

Here's what I'm getting from Amazon.ca as of today: ----------------------------- Hello from Amazon.ca. We're still trying to obtain the following item[s] you ordered on July 09, 2014: Queen "Live at the Rainbow '74 (Super Deluxe Box Set) [CD + DVD + Blu-ray + Book]" ----------------------------- To which I go: "HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM..." |
Pingfah 09.09.2014 08:14 |
Yeah, I got the same. This is exactly what happened with The Lot. Amazon only allow preorders on stock they have been promised, which means that they have fucked up the amount to be produced AGAIN. |

I got this message as well, and it also says that the 4LP box will be released on the 23rd.... |

OK... so now, after not having it appear at all for the longest time, it now appears to be listed (and in stock) at the USA Amazon site. And that means free shipping. So I just cancelled the Amazon.ca order and placed the order on Amazon.com, which promises the same item. Works for me (hopefully). |

You can always offer free shipping on items that are not in stock. I could do it myself if I wanted. |
malicedoom 09.09.2014 11:38 |
I only ordered from Amazon.ca because it was a far better deal than any other place I could find online (at the time, anyway) and it wasn't coming up at the Amazon USA site. I also wasn't sure if there was any difference between "Deluxe" and "Super Deluxe". Now that I see the Amazon.com listing, it appears to be the same item, in stock, and with free shipping (to the USA), so I just went with that. Hopefully there will be no surprises. Also, to answer the question above ("So, what does this mean? That I might not get a copy of what I have preordered??") - usually you WILL get the item you ordered, but it may take a bit longer to receive it. That's my past experience at least. |

^^^ thanks! I got the same deal as you on amazon.com with free shipping. Added a regular DVD version as well. Amazon claims the Rainbow DVD is currently the #1 item in their music DVD concerts category. Is true if they are saying it? |
malicedoom 09.09.2014 15:47 |
Here's hoping. If so, that's awesome news! |

Hell yeah, check it out: link #1 in Movies & TV > DVD > Music Videos & Concerts and link #1 in Movies & TV > Blu-ray > Music Videos & Concerts |

Hey everyone...Hope everyone is enjoying the recently released Rainbow set from the 3 dates they played in 1974. Here's a little story a friend told me about his experience with Amazon.co.uk. As soon as he was able to back in June, he Pre-ordered the Deluxe Box Set which contained the Bluray/DVD etc,etc.....He waited until the release day and he said he got an email saying it was being dispatched on the sunday to his home. The following day he stayed in all day and anxiously waited, after 5pm I get a phone call, it has not arrived yet, he is very disappointed for the fact he has not yet been able to see the concert he heard...I sent him an mp3 version of one of the concerts the saturday before. So he's really excited to see the show. At 9pm he contacts Amazon to learn that somewhere along the line the package has failed to be delivered...He says no kidding. After an hour on the phone, he tells me that they are now sending out the vinyl set as compensation for letting him down in the non-delivery and false advertisement of the paid for product from their website...... On their website it states he will be getting a 6 disc set, which does not exist, he says all he did, was ask for it, and they said....ok |

Got the Super Deluxe set last night and what a treat! I can't help but believe (maybe this has been confirmed?) the show has different video and audio from a different night than the version I and am sure everyone else has had for years. In the older Rainbow release there were points in the show where the audio and video did not match up....March of the Black Queen, In the Lap of the Gods to name a couple...but there were definitely moments that were different from that show. The only audio/video moment that didn't sync up - which I believe was the same as the previous release - is during In The Lap of the Gods when it shows Roger both drumming and singing his high "aahhhhhh" part, what he drums doesn't match up with the audio. But hell, what an amazing release! |
malicedoom 10.09.2014 09:54 |
Can't wait to see/hear this. |
pestgrid 10.09.2014 16:03 |
Just remember that the November dates for the video release, although I dont agree with this approach, is a combination of the two rainbow nights from both the video and audio recordings or master tapes (transfers), mixed to create ONE ultimate release. So no one still has the full version of both nights, they have the best of both. Imagine the 2011 Live at Wembley release, that is the way this boxset should have been compiled in the 1ST instance......maybe later dudes.... |

Today I received an email from amazon.ca saying that the Boxset had been shipped. |
