During the performance of the fairy feller's master stroke at the rainbow show in march, what happens between 2:13-2:16 in the video above? Is this an overdub or does everyone else stop playing on purpose?
I think it is a union thing. If you a member of the British Union of Upstart Musicians, the by laws require that you stop playing in the middle of performance for no apparent reason. Off course, there is a reason, but you must be unionized to be privy to its contents.

They stopped on purpose, yknow, for dynamics. Brian also plays a wrong chord as they re-enter.
With music, they always say most of the interest comes in what is NOT played rather than planed. Silence is one of the most daring things a musician can do.
