Since we stood up on the lawn, I kind of have a feeling of what Milton Keynes must have been like.
Crowd was totally into it, and the evening was a damn good time. QAL had a glitch here and there, but it didn't matter.
So many very loooonnnnggg, seemingly endless lines to get in tonight. It's Washington so we had a drone* scanning our line. For real! An actual drone flew above our heads twice as we waited and waited. Then the race was on past the gate to find a spot In a sea of concert goers. Got a lucky set down with a center stage view, albeit far off. I was not looking forward to perching on a patch of grass, but our spot ended up being decent and roomy enough. Notably absent show items: the giant Q background and later on in the evening, TSMGO was absent from the set list. What the ...? Yes, a no show for TSMGO!! But the rockin went on anyway and the rockin was very good as were all the visuals. The pace thru the first couple of songs was really tight and the transitions especially smooth. Impressive, but the whole night was impressive. What a show under the stars for DC tonight! Packed, packed packed in tonight as well.

I only decided to go today, and lucked out with the ticket (close to the little round stage). They all seemed very relaxed tonight. It was so much fun. It was loud enough that I could feel my heart vibrating and my ears felt numb after the show.

Wow, you did luck out! I got a seat 17 rows back from the "catwalk" - and that was when the tickets first went on sale.
So near - and yet, so far...
I think I purchased my ticket around 3 pm on TicketFly. I was 4 rows from the little stage - close enough to see Adam's freckles. Ha. I don't know how it works, but I assume some ticket re-sale companies (or maybe VIP's?) release the unsold tickets at some point on the day of the show. I paid $125 plus other fees. I think it came up to $138. Anyway, I knew I wanted to see them but I couldn't decide which venue, and I had even accepted that I might not see them, and told myself it was OK because I could just watch the Youtube videos. But then the afternoon of the day of the show I started getting the feeling that I needed to see them. I guess it would be a risky move to plan to do what I did. But it has also worked for other Queenzoners (waiting until the day of the show).
If I'd known you were there I could have said Hi. It was a great crowd! Fun night!
Hey all who were with me at Merriweather Post Pavilion! I had to be on the lawn, and you who were close to the stage are so lucky!
Queen and Adam rocked that place - Adam's voice was so good, I was really impressed. I love how Brian did the Love of my Life song, and his guitar solo, and Roger was great too with his drumming and singing. When they showed Freddie singing Bo Rap, I don't think there was a dry eye.
We were all singing and screaming our heads off. I am just so happy I got to see Brian and Roger for once in my life, and they were great. You could just tell how much they were into it, loving it and making great music.
A night to always remember!
Pix from The Baltimore Sun blog (our view was #11 from the lawn)
I wish I had a pic when they were at the front of the catwalk. Behind the band we could see fans, some of whom were wearing the classic Argentinian light blue and white striped shirts, WITH the Queen crest on the front.
Very cool indeed. link

btw, it was amazing to pull into the grass parking lot at 430pm, and already see thousands standing in line. We tailgated until 7pm and entered at 710. Found a reasonable place to stand and enjoy the show, which did start promptly at 8:15 (No Lawn Chairs did not appear). And tailgated an hour afterwards, avoiding the cluster that Merriweather is.
