I know you've probably seen this and heard the full interview already but it made me laugh today (I was following a you tube link and then found it).
I would prefer Freddie doing the weather any day, even if I had no clue what was said afterwards, lol link
Freddie liked to frolick with with Kenny Everett, and this is one piece of evidence of their fooling around. I like it. It's very "70s Freddie". You can tell it is the 70s or very early 80s, because his voice had not yet acquired the more "macho" and arrogant characteristic which he had in the 80s, and it sounded more "gay" in the 70s.
It's from late 1976 when Freddie was in the studio talking to Kenny Everett about the new album "A Day At The Races" which would be out shortly and Kenny was playing it in full. Nice interview and the 2 of them sounding more camp as they could get.
I've listened to the full interview before now. I was 6 years old and I loved the 70's, so I guess for me it captures the carefree atmosphere of that time. I wish some of those 'clean spells' could extend to my house right now, lol.
