The standard album version has recently appeared on a David Bowie bootleg called C'est La Vie claiming to feature Bowie on backing vox. First I'e heard of it?
The same disc also features Cool Cat w/Bowie.

News to me, too. If he's there, I don't hear him. Maybe it was background lip-synching?

Yeah, It's like the Under Pressure non argument about Bowie or Taylor's voice on the bridge. The bootleg label (Godfather) are notoriously lazy.
