Mr John Deacon
| goose44 11.07.2014 10:22 |
Seriously, I know this man is retired and hiding out all of these years but in all seriousness there has to be people who know where he lives. I can't believe that no journalist or a huge fan of him and the group has never gone to track him down with a camera and just video him, try to ask him questions, or anything like paparazzi here in the U.S. do. People can be secluded but anyone can be found and especially someone famous and especially someone with the "gone in hiding forever" mark on him. It would be cool just for him to say whats up to his fans or just his fans to say hey I know you are out of the business yada yada but we just wanted to say hi and we still and always love ya and miss you. For heavens sake, get his address, find the man and talk to the man! |
| andyb1968 11.07.2014 10:37 |
Leave the man alone, he's made his decision and we should all respect him for it ! So far as the paparazzi go, they just don't see John as that big a deal. Unless he gets up to something really naughty ; ) |
| Day dop 11.07.2014 10:38 |
With people who have attitudes like yours, it's little surprise that he remains in hiding. He owes Queen fans nothing whatsoever. |
| Costa86 11.07.2014 10:38 |
You must understand that in the UK there is no such thing as paparazzi. All UK journalists are highly respectful of celebrities and never bother them. I mean, we all know how Freddie used to literally BEG journalists to give him some attention, especially in 1991. Some say he used to purposefully leak photos of himself looking three-quarters dead, since no paparazzi ever turned up to his house to take the pictures themselves. The poor man - he just wanted to be in the news. |
| jamster1111 11.07.2014 11:40 |
I agree. Although what the paparazzi does to mistreat celebrities in the US is wrong I think locating John and interviewing him wouldn't be terrible. He doesn't owe us anything but just because he's retired doesn't mean he shouldn't come out of the spotlight and hide from us. |

FFS - your post is borderline stalker....actually, no strike that...there's nothing "borderline" about you...you're a f*cking bona fide lunatic...go and take your meds |

listen everyone, what I mean in my statement is that I can't believe in 17 years we have not seen many photos of the man, or nobody looking to interview him in any way. I guess in the UK nobody gives a rats behind about him. I guess John is not a legend over there in your history. Just the curiosity of knowing what he does does not peek the interest of anyone. |
| goose44 11.07.2014 14:05 |
brenski, what the f are you talking about? Stalking comments? you are insane. Legends don't dissappear into obscurity. But like I just mentioned, I guess he is a nobody in today's terms. |

I think we all know that by now, however not even ever to see pictures of him in the streets or in a restaurant or anyyhing. 17 years and we see like 3 photos of him? |

The other thing is that he hasn't aged gracefully like Rog and Brian have in a relative sense. So maybe he would feel a bit embarassed having his face all over the place and everybody commenting. I know she's female, but journalists weren't slow in pointing out how much weight Kate Bush had gained when she made for first appearance in a long time at the Sky Awards back in 2011, when she won for her 50 Words For Snow album. |

Yet everyone shits on Brian on this site. Sometimes Roger. |
| andyb1968 12.07.2014 06:01 |
The only thing that has puzzled me about John all these years, was that he built a home studio, where its said he's remixed some of Freddie's stuff, but what else has he been doing in there all these years, when you are a pro musician you don't just put your instrument down and never play it again ! |

HES GONE MAD,How can anyone watch somebody else play in your band and play your riffs and get the credit,Wouldnt be surprised if some people at the concert thought Neil Fairclough was John Deacon |

You also have no respect for a human being's right to run his own life. |

Heavenite wrote: The other thing is that he hasn't aged gracefully like Rog and Brian have in a relative sense.I don't agree with that statement. It's the same when you see people regularly, you don't notice them ageing; it happens with your parents, your kids, your friends etc. If I'd only seen my mum 3 times in 20 years then I'd say 'oh my god you've gone grey/wrinkly/hunched' etc, but because I see her regularly then I don't really notice the gradual ageing process. The same applies with John - if we'd seen him regularly then the balding, and the lines on the face would be features we gradually became used to and wouldn't see as a massive thing; equally, if we hadn't seen Brian and Roger for 20 years we'd now be saying 'look at the state of them'. Some would even argue he has aged more "gracefully" than the other two as he isn't still parading around the world wearing sunglasses, doing guest slots in musicals etc!!! |

cmsdrums wrote:I guess you could be right CMS! I mean you are definitely right about the shock people would have if they only saw someone every 5 to 10 years or so. Although a lack of hair certainly makes people look a lot older in general I think. Along with things like greying hair, wrinkles and and I reckon that gaining weight generally adds to the impression of ageing too!Heavenite wrote: The other thing is that he hasn't aged gracefully like Rog and Brian have in a relative sense.I don't agree with that statement. I wonder if we are going to be the beneficiaries of some of his hard work on Freddie's stuff in December? Made in Heaven might well have been a motivator for him to ditch Robbie Williams and Co and focus on making the most of what was left of Freddie's materal maybe? Hope so! |

I don't think what the OP said is necessarily stalkerish. I understand what they are trying to say, John obviously goes to the shop to buy bread or goes to dinner on occasions. It is strange that no one has ever taken pictures of him (Then again maybe they do because I've seen that one of him at a wedding). |
