I read somewhere a lot of years ago (I think it was an interview with Mike Moran or Roger Taylor) that both Brian and Roger did played something for the Barcelona album.
I think it was in the Golden Boy or How Can I Go On.
They didn't play anything....Only All God's people, a song named at first African By Night, and was for the second solo album aborted by Freddie because of Barcelona record.

Idle speculation presented as fact. The only things we know for sure are that All God's People grew out of Africa By Night and that Mike Moran was involved. Your remarks about being "for the second solo album aborted by Freddie because of Barcelona" is fact-free speculation. In fact, it has regularly been suggested that Africa By Night was meant for Barcelona itself, but was dropped because it didn't fit the sound of that album. Even that is speculation, though.
By the way do we know anything about the concept of AFRICA BY NIGHT?
Was it a song about the joungle ( something like Gazele taken further)?
A sex song?
A song about rapidly lowering temperatures?
And how the hell such a mistiqueu,mysterious ...whatever song title ended as a God preaching track.?
Quite weird....

I really don't think anything is known except that Mike Moran was involved. I've heard it said that no demo was included on The Freddie Mercury Collection because the music was essentially identical to the released version. Still, that's just speculation too.
When Barry Promane interviewed Mike Moran for his (Promane's) thesis, he (Moran) told him that all Queen members participated on the 'Barcelona' album, but that they went mostly uncredited, the only exception having been John on HCIGO.
Why? Because loads of things go on without a credit. Queen albums have plenty of uncredited performances. In order not to annoy everyone (more than I already have), I'll just write ten of those omissions on the credits:
* Roy's stylophone at the end of SSOR.
* John's double-bass on DOTL.
* Roger's backing vocals on '39, DOTL, TPS and SL.
* Brian's backing vocals on DOTL, TPS and SL.
* Dino Solera's sax on ATD.
* Guest backing vocalists on TT and WWRY.
* Guest stomps and claps on WWRY.
* Organ on Liar, NIH and UP.
* Freddie's guitar on CLTCL.
* Brian's piano on ADAD, SM, Flash and LPDA.
Solo albums and duet albums and parallel-band albums also have loads of uncredited instances. Mike Moran confirmed that he (Mike Moran) and Roger Taylor had both sung some backing vocals on Barcelona (the song), but that the majority of them were still Freddie's.

Also, we talked about albums done a lot of decades ago...
I mean, even them didn't remember all the things well.
For example, Fred Mandell told me Freddie always wanted to credit people.
Curt Cress, Freddie wanted to do a solo tour, but Mack said it was not true....
I hate those DOTL's,TP's,SL's...Is it so hard to write a whole title?I have no idea what songs are those.And I'm not going to go through every single album now just to find out.
