I didn't have inspiration to make any video like this for a long time - the last video was The Show Must Go On (link in my signature).
But something happened in my mind and here is the result.
I tried to make it exciting, hopefully it makes you watch it till the end :-)

It took about 5 days, which I'm actually quite surprised about. The Show Must Go On video that I did in similar fashion took me more than twice as much time. It must be because I had some sort of inspirational wave and I had visualized most bits & parts in my head before I started editing. There were really no such bits that got me stuck for a while, also I'd say there was hardly any filler, most bits have some thought behind them :-)
Good job there! Nice editing :-)
I think now with the new footage of Freddie when he was 17 (in the Alfie Boe documentary), we'll see plenty of fan videos showing clips of this. Kind of the 'beginning' shot before Queen and could be used as the starting clip/s in many videos? Would be ideal for 'These Are The Days of Our Lives'
Great Job sir !
By the way , i though you were using Avisynth (from a post of yours in the Personal forum) but i see you go with Sony Vegas these days.

Thanks.
Well, the first software I started out with was Sony Vegas.
But not to confuse, it works like this -
Avisynth for video improving.
Sony Vegas for video editing.
After Effects for VFX (I use After Effects sometimes as well)
This time, as you can see, it's a montage, so I gotta go with Sony Vegas :-)
Chief, this was absolutely beautiful. I watched it while looking the "making of". Great work! I love how you used the filters and how the image definition got very solid, also, matching the video with the song. If this song had an official video, I imagine a collage like this more that the band playing or doing playback ala TSMGO. The same for WIAWI, another song which deserved a video.
very beautiful indeed ! congrats Chief !
there's the DoRo way and there's the other (your) way: by letting the useful thoughts and feelings make it happen
