QUEEN are back in fascinating manner with the No.1 Hit "Bohemian Rhapsody" and a Super-Stage-show. "BRAVO" is reporting from London...
The stage of the Odeon Hammersmith is coverd with darkness. Through the soundsystem you can hear the operetic part of the Hit-Single "Bohemian Rhapsody".
As soon the light turns on - the group is already on the stage and starting the show with one of their "older" Hits " Ogre Battle". The fans jumped out of their seats and celebrating
Freddie Mercury. He wears a breath-taking tight white silk-suit. With his sexy elegance he dances in front of the first row - just one hand sign of him and the crowd calm down.
The fans were listening respectfully to "White Queen" and "Sweet Lady"...
But the fans get feverish again to the wild rock song "Flick of the Wrist". A girl tries to give Freddie a hug but he escaped behind the stage.
With "Brighton Rock" and "Killer Queen" Brian proves that he's a real guitar genius.
For "March of the black Queen" Freddie returns to the stage in a tight black silk-suit.Together with a lot smoke and thunder they start " Lap of the gods Revisited"
The fans were singing and giving ovations in preparation of the encore.
Suddenly Freddie apppears on stage dressed up in a Kimono. He starts a slow and very sexy striptease to "Big Spender" - no doubt it was the hottest Rock-Strptease of the year.
He throws a part of the Kimono into the crowd and they tear it to pieces. Then Freddie let the Kimono slip down from his shoulders and stood on stage dressed in almost nothing but
white hot pants made of silk. The fans go absolute crazy. Despite Alice Cooper or Elton John - THIS was the best Rock-Show of 1975.
show date is in question
As always : My english/ translation isn't flawless - I have to rebuild some sentence cause the german original wouldn't make a proper sense in english.
The original writer doesn't need to be a Queen fan - maybe he was hired for the job. I do not correct flaws by the writer.
It's just a nice piece of "Zeitgeist"...
If it mentions Sweet Lady and Flick of the Wrist, it definitely can't be 12-24-75. It has to be one of the five nights between Nov 29 - Dec 3.
And I'm quite sure he switches to the black satin suit for Son And Daughter (during Brian's Brighton Rock solo), not Black Queen. Freddie stays at the piano during the medley.
Thanks for posting !
The magazine isn't really from 75, is it ? It looks more recent than that.
So I can see why the date got confused - the TV performance is pretty well known, and most people wouldn't know that they played another five nights the month prior.

The print is from 77' but I don't know the reason to reprint/reuse an article from 75'.
The (german) language is clearly in style of the 70's.
