From what i can see in the One Vision video it is the AKG K240 ( MKII) Queen used. link
I think it would be nice to listen the music the way they heard it while making it.
And actually they are very popular even today together with the Audio Technica ATH-M50.
So does anyone has an experience with these cans?

Really? I thought they were designed around Freddie's ear !
Shit, really? I never noticed that!
Does he always keep the same side to the camera?
I could have sworn I saw him with 2 ears once. Must have been mistaken. No biggy.

Why do u think Brian is so into stereoscopic ?
They needed an expert head on from the start.
A friend of mine has those, i have to say that i don't really like the quality.. It lacks bass and the highs don't have alot of detail unfortunatly.
It could also be because i'm kinda spoiled when it comes to Headphones, i've got a Beyerdynamic DT770PRO 250, which really is an awesome headphone!
They sound like crap those AKG, they have no bass but this was good back then, because you were naturally inclined to rise the bass freq. in the mix. Today the M50 is a much better headphone.

Beyers are nice but unnatural bass to my ears.
Ah well, to each his own.
I've listened to some "Police" on the beyers but the bass sounds like natural sounding bass to me.
When i play Bass thru the headphones (I've got a Hofner Violinbass) it sounds like that aswell, pretty great sounding headphone.

I didn't know it exactly but isn't a Höfner Violin bass guitar a short scale bass ? Wouldn't sound that deep as a Fender Preci Long scale...am I right ???
It sounds very deep, it's shorter than a Fender Precision indeed, but i still don't find it unnatural sounding, noteven when i'm listening to some isolated bass tracks by Queen, Millionaire Waltz is insane !
There is this seperation that i was not really aware of since 5 years about hi-fi headphones and monitor/studio headphones. The AKG's K240 and to some digree the M50 fall in the second category. The Beyerdynamic from what i read in reviwes is somewhere in between. However i never used studio/monitor headphones ( i have sennheiser hd 515) so i am really thinkg of buing studio headphones to hear the difference.
However i am not that sure it will be a plesant experience cos phones sounding flat dosen't sound really appealing.
Also i am not that sure if the distinction(monitor vs hi-fi) is that valid or a marketing thing also.
