Hello everybody ! Don't know if this was mentioned or shared before on Queenzone but as Ruth Oliver has stated, NETIA has been digitizing and "restoring" Belgian TV archives so they could be open to general public. One of the "restored" videos is of course Queen's interview and gig - sadly, parts of it [intro of Let Me Entertain You, Fat Bottomed Girls, Tie Your Mother Down and BoRhap rock section] at Forest National so... enjoy !!! link Cheers, Martin PS. Is there a chance that the whole gig has been recorded ? |

Wow at last I've seen this in good+ quality than before! Thank you! |

Just so you know: Forest National is also called Vorst Nationaal - same venue. I've seen the Queen-show listed under both names. |

rocknrolllover wrote:It does. The fact that you are not smart enough to understand is your problem. If you're looking for recordings of the Queen show at Forest National you should also search for them under the title "Vorst Nationaal", because some bootlegs use that name for the venue.thomasquinn 32989 wrote: Just so you know: Forest National is also called Vorst Nationaal - same venue. What's the difference between this and the Japanese source which is circulating for 10 years? |
DepeX 23.04.2014 09:22 |
Here's the link! Enjoy: link PS: Please, can anybody write down what is said in the interview?? |

In this video there aren't japanese subtitles... For the rest, it's the same, although this version is shorter |

Pure gold! Thanks for this. |

I don't believe Siegen and Singen are the same place. |

Cool, thanks for posting. Glad to see the TV stations are opening up their archives. |

Some very nice footage, the likes of this video will never see the light of day through Q.P which is a shame. |

Makes you wonder what exists in the vaults of TV studios in cities around the world when Queen were visiting in the 70's and 80's.... best not think about it... |

You misinterpreted my post, my point was that I expect Q.P does not have any of this footage and If they had they wouldn't release it anyway because it doesn't fit into the era of Queen they wish to promote. Freddie in black leather with the leather cap? Never gonna get a barcode. Somebody should contact the T.V company and see if they could get more information, and by somebody I mean a fan. |

@musicland munich, now you've got me intrigued, mentioning "Böblingen" or "Boeblingen" or "Bubblegum" or "Little Town Of..." - was there ever a gig that could be characterised as being near Böblingen? |

Truly excellent footage; certainly an 'on' night for Brian May and I'm sure, many fan's favourite live period (certainly mine). P.S. Sadly, I see that the person who invariably litters interesting threads with irritating nonsense is still here. |

Doga wrote: -- We can only hope QP have done their homework to retrieve all they can. -- Like with Budapest. SadWell, there a few facts to keep in mind. The footage was available until 1994. They had other things on their mind around that time, like their singer dying and putting the finishing touches on his last recordings. Scooping up old footage probably wasn't at the top of their priority list at that time. |

I should ask my IBM colleagues in Bubblegum about that gig: Some of them are old enough to have been there. I don't recall a big enough venue IN Bubblegum for Queen. :-) As it happens I'm presenting in Budapest at a conference in May. Already looking for snippets of '86 to use at the beginning of each talk. One OBVIOUS one... :-) |
