Does anyone know of the song selections of the up coming tour or the selections of the Hammersmith tour a couple of years back.
One of my favourite Queen live version songs is 'Now im here'. It was a great second half rock opener after Freddie went back stage for a brush up and cig and ive been looking at other versions of this on youtube and I cant seem to see Paul Rodgers or Adam Lambert singing this at all. Are there any others that have been left out (maybe from the Hammersmith tour) of post Freddie tours just because maybe its not their style? I also cant find One Vision by A.L although P.R did sing it.
Surely now im here cant be left out. I think we can all agree the faster, heavier live version of it was immense.
The set list for Hammersmith in 2012 was: Flash Intro, Seven Seas of Rhye, Keep Yourself Alive, We Will Rock You (fast), Fat Bottomed Girls, Don't Stop Me Now, Under Pressure, I Want It All, Who Wants To Live Forever, A Kind Of Magic, These Are The Days Of Our Lives, Love Of My Life, 39, Dragpn Attack, Drum Session, Guitar Solo, I Want To Break Free, Another One Bites The Dust, Radio Ga Ga, Somebody To Love, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, The Show Must Go On, Bohemian Rhapsody, Tie Your Mother Down, We Will Rock You, and We Are The Champions.
Good question
now I'm here was included in BMs back to the light tour and it worked to a degree but, the lyrics are so autobiographical it's hard to see AL singing it
The other issue is, of course, the long instrumental section/crowd participation sections. Those moments were pure Freddie, maybe it was dropped to save comparison (wisely IMHO)
But maybe AL would be up for it....

Mmm no 'Now im here' such a pity. Maybe it doesnt suit his style but id love to know the reason why they left it out.
Maybe they will include it this time around. I'm hoping they add "One Vision" to the list and "Killer Queen" and "Hammer To Fall."
Hammer To Fall was done on the tours with Paul......I really thought it rocked when I saw em in 06! I really love the slow/fast version, like Brian did on his solo tours, and they did sometimes with Paul (but not when I saw em).....
Somehow I see Paul being more suited to that song than Adam.....but it would still be cool to see Adam give it a try......
Roger is probably out of practice, anyway if he gets fatique then doesnt he have a support drummer anyway? I think there are ways of tailoring a song to suit u but still sound good. Personally I dont think A.L has that style in him to sing that. P.R has.

I prefer the slow intro with the faster rock version too. I actually think Paul was better suited to this song and version than the original with Freddie. The original version was too one-note for me, and didn't really play to Freddie's strengths (imo). The latter slow/fast version was more interesting. I think Adam could do fine with something closer to the Freddie version as opposed to the Paul version, although I think the harmonies on the slow intro with Brian (done by QPR) would be beautiful.
I really don't know how he would do on the fast version. The way Paul sings it there's a very Springsteen-esque style to his vocals. I've heard Adam singing many different genres though, and I generally think he's really good at most everything I've heard, so while it would be interesting to see him do this one, it's not really a favorite one of my Queen songs, and I wouldn't miss not having it on the QAL setlist.
