I hope there will be some different songs included in the setlist this time around. I'd like to hear Killer Queen and One Vision. Any other suggestions out there? |

I just hope they play songs like Liar and freshen up the setlist a bit during the tour, not holding my breath though. |

Maybe one of the tracks off the new album would be a nice addition! |
ANAGRAMER 09.04.2014 13:25 |
March of the black Queen would be good but I wouldn't think it would be included in its entirety ( some dubious lyrics in there! ) |

I DARE them to do Mustapha in middle America.... |

ANAGRAMER wrote: I DARE them to do Mustapha in middle America.... IMO Adam would love this song, however you're right, in this day and age, where middle America is often rife with conservative/Tea Party nutjobs, anything that reminds some folks of the middle east is anathema, as it is all one and the same with 911 to them. There are people here who had no idea what the difference was between Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden for fuck's sake, and went gladly along with the invasion of Iraq because they erroneously thought it had something to do with Alqueda and the twin towers. Faris, Parsi, Persia, Iran, Indian - it's all foreign stuff to a vast majority of Americans, unfortunately. Since America's misunderstanding of the IWTBF music video stalled them out in NA before, I imagine Brian and Roger will be particularly sensitive to the strange and backward mindset of some folks here. For good or ill, I'm gonna guess it won't be on this summer's setlist. |
YAFF 09.04.2014 18:04 |
The best thing they could do on stage is "The Sound Of Silence" (but, no, not the Simon & Garfunkel song) |
Jimmy Dean 09.04.2014 22:24 |
Here's my list of hopefuls: 1. Liar - instrumental excerpt (the lyrics were never the strong point of this one) 2. You And I - a lost gem (or Spread Your Wings would also make me happy) 3. Sail Away Sweet Sister - THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE PLAYED! 4. Dragon Attack - likely will be played, I will be extremely disappointed if it's not 5. Any of the following, just to hear Brian solo --> Play The Game, Save Me, Hammer To Fall, I Want It All (methinks the odds of any of these being played is very good) 6. Innuendo - I believe this might happen...it's a moody song written for a homosexual emo... yes, Roger thought of Adam Lambert when he penned the lyrics in 1990 7. The Show Must Go On - If this doesn't happen, then we have must have a fucked setlist which is likely comprised of the US Greatest Hits album (and of course Body Language is played, lol) Save for number 2 - everything on my list is doable and should make for a great show. |

ANAGRAMER wrote: I DARE them to do Mustapha in middle America....AL is genetically and culturally Jewish. Freddie was genetically Parsi and proud of his Persian roots. To sing Mustapha would cross major cultural lines. Don't see this happening at all. |

I'm counting on "I was born to love you" to be played in Japan and possibly South-Korea. This song -Queen version-is huge in japan. They did an acoustic version in 2006, and i hope that now they go for the full "Made in Heaven" version. Other songs that i want to hear Adam sing is: -Innuendo -The Miracle -Don't ry so hard And of course, our Roger has to bring back "I'm in love with my car" and a great drum solo. |

Wasn't this already a topic before? I remember cobbling up a set list before. I really hope lamebert won't touch tracks like Don't Try So Hard. He doesn't deserve them. Almost forgot about his Jewish heritage and the conflict of Mustapha. Lol. Although he's got incredible range. .. that might be a reason for his patronage. Just gotta face it that there's no new golden era of music at the moment. .. unless you like taking "special k" or some other drugs and merely utilize the 4/4 disco syncopation of crappy club music. All this speculation is making me worrisome of the concerts. I'm really going to see Brian and Roger. Maybe if I'm in luck, Lambert has attractive female fans... as well as the usual gay guy crowd. . Otherwise this might be a weird experience. I can only imagine if there were a bunch of kids screaming ADAM! In diapers and bottles. ... Jesus. Please don't let it be |

It'd be fun to hear them open a few shows with PARTY, then I would say TYMD but Adam probably wouldn't do it justice. I can picture Brian owning the riff that starts at 1:00 on the song. Roger coming in at that point. Then bringing in lamebert for the end and the true opener |

I'd like to see them open with something they've never played before; Headlong. I think it would be a hell of a dynamic opener. SSOR but only in its entirety. It's Late should be brought out of the storage chest. Its doubtful, but American fans would love it. I would have no problem with them dropping IWIA AND TSMGO. FBG could get put on the shelf IMO as well. Replace IILWMC with TF. Keep '39 but add in Long Away. I'd like to see them play a cover song or two, some oldies like back in the 70's. Maybe even polite jab at Paul Rodgers & take a stab at a Bad Co. song! |

In a welsh interview, Brian states his favourite queen track at the moment is made in heaven. Do you think there could be a chance they may get adam lambert to have a crack at singing it for the tour coming up? |

I was just thinking Stone Cold Crazy would work! Perhaps early in the shows alongside WWRY, and KYA, and such......or maybe after BoRhap..........hmm..... |
SweetCaroline 03.06.2014 18:39 |
Along with "Stone Cold Crazy," three Queen songs I'd like to hear performed on this tour are "One Vision," "Now I'm Here" and "Hammer To Fall." |
Mr.QueenFan 13.06.2014 18:54 |
Another one that i would love to hear live with Adam Lambert would be "Keep Passing the Open Windows". One of the best Queen tracks that was never played live. And in one way or another the lyrics apply to almost every Human Being on this planet during their lives : "Keep passing the open windows, love is all you need". link The balance between the instruments is perfect and that bass line is the nectar of Gods. Definitely worth playing live. Let's hope they play it on their European tour, in case there will be one. |
