Queen
Mannheim, Germany
Maimarktgelände

The Mannheim onslaught continues.
This is the best copy of the complete show (but still inferior to the incomplete Queen Reigns The World bootlegs, amongst others that stemmed from it). The silvers were ripped by Olivier Ruth. link link
This Wardour bootleg is a better copy of these complete versions: link link link
More info on all the different versions here - link

Enjoy, and keep it lossless !
Well - if I understand it correctly, to get the best sounding and most complete version of the concert, I need
- Craaft from godknowswhere (does anybody have it?)
- Gary Moore (I have just an mp3 copy, does anybody have a lossless copy?)
- Level 42 from the torrent shared here recently
- Marillion from the torrent shared a few years ago here
- most of the Queen show from Queen Reigns the World
- the rest of the Queen show from Definitive Mannheim
- the ending speech from "Done Under Pressure in Germany"
Correct?

IMHO,
two worthy sources for this Queen broadcast recording are 'Gypsy Eye' and 'Reigns The World'.
Both need some EQ processing to be closer to each other in sound. Wardour/Trial source has distorted high-end frequency range, some noise and crackling and is not suitable.

Craaft... was not aired (confirmed by friends who taped the whole day from fm), most likely it was not even recorded, also I haven't heard of any audience tapes from that day so I doubt we will ever get a copy, the rest of the day is complete. One track of the Marillion set was used on an official live release, the rest remains inofficial bootleg material. I do have the Gary Moore gig in lossless files if you like to create a boxset of the complete event. I discussed that with Ale Solan some time ago and he was willing to create artwork for it. Anyway I don't have the time to work on that project at the moment...
btw it's still seeded on dime... link
Well Barbara said in this thread : link that rasensteine shared his recording originally on dime and included the Craaft set into the share, that's why I was asking. I'm currently downloading Gary Moore, thanks a lot
2 SirGH:
Gypsy Eye GE 141 / 142 is closer in frequency range and sounding to 'Reigns The World' source and is the most complete source including full audience cheering between encores. But it has a tape hiss which is impossible to remove completely. Also it needs some clever equalization.
1st gen FM source, which is the source for Trial and Wardour releases, has IMHO dull sound but there's no tape hiss there and it's possibly a better choice for merge with 'Reigns The World' excellent quality source.
I'm working on them all now. Hope there will be a result in the nearest future.

I still say Wardour is better sound than Gypsy Eye. The drums are so much clearer. Better EQ overall.
