I will be driving from Springfield, Virginia. I can hold 5 in my vehicle including me. If I don't get at least one more person, I might take the Rock Bus, that MPP sponsors. It's like $40 round-trip. But if we can gather some friends, I will take you for $10 round-trip. On the way there we can listen to some Queen rarities and bootlegs.
I want to go. The ticketing website gave me General Admission tickets (Front, pit, etc.) as late as on March 13th but my stupid credit card wasn't working. Some problem with address validation (AVS). Tried with several cards and it wouldn't work. Didn't have any problems using the same cards to buy tickets for other 4 shows. I even dialed to their Call Center and couldn't make the purchase. The next day, they were gone.
Now I'm only getting Lawn general admission and Diamond package. I don't want to spend $295 USD in a Diamond package for General admission Standing tickets... I would potentially pay that for great seats at Madison Square Garden or something but not for standing tix at an outdoor venue.
I've looked at resellers and it's over $220 USD for the same standing $125 USD tickets, plus fees. So, in that case, perhaps Diamond package is not the worst idea, considering what Tour shirts and souvenirs usually cost.
If anybody has TWO (2) spare tickets for this show, let me know :).
Free front row centre tickets? All access passes? Dressing room visits? As much food and drink as I can consume? Payment of $10,000 an hour for attending? Nothing would entice me to go to any of these Karaoke / tribute band shows.
Knock yourselves out........
I know I'm gonna regret not getting tickets for this show. It's only 90 minutes south of me! I may have to visit stub hub. Merriweather is THE place to see any show!
Yeah I'm gonna have to go through StubHub as well, there's no more paired seat combinations available through Ticketmaster for Calgary and I want to take my girlfriend to that show as well. At least some of the seats I've been looking at aren't too ridiculously marked up, unlike Paul McCartney :-P
Inu, any chance you're going to the Montreal show? I got tickets. Pending me and my wife obtaining a Canadian tourist visa, we'll be there. A friend of hers lives near Montreal and she's been meaning to visit him for a while now. A Queen show seemed like the perfect excuse for me to comply with her request just now :).
About Merriweather Pavilion, I can still get single seats in a somewhat decent place but still no luck with the fucking credit card. This must be the most secure Internet Merchant EVER.
Not really, can't afford it taking into account other long term plans between this summer and next winter. As I stated before, Edmonton and Calgary will be our only shows :-/
