The grand old man of folk music, legendary singer, composer and activist Pete Seeger is no more. He was one of the few people brave enough to stand up to Joe McCarthy during his witch-hunt and never strayed from his ideals of pacifism, equality for all regardless of race, ethnicity, sex or anything, social justice and anti-capitalism.
His songs have been covered literally thousands of times by artists as varied as The Byrds, Trini Lopez, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne and Earth, Wind and Fire.
