This is now my favourite "award acceptance speech" ever. The lack of a speech and... well, everything makes you understand why John isn't part of the business anymore.

Thanks for posting this! I remember when this first aired all those years ago! I think Cheap Trick played Ain't That a Shame on that prograpm too! I remember at the time being disappointed that Fred and Brian weren't there but happy that John got to receive it on behalf of the band with Roger.
Thanks for posting this. According to Wikipedia, AOBTD beat Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" and Diana Ross's "Upside Down". But they (along with the Rolling Stones) lost Favorite Pop/Rock Band/Duo/Group to the Eagles.
