Thistle 04.01.2014 18:12 |
^ it's all already been shared here in the best quality: check the announce forum!! |
MercurialFreddie 05.01.2014 05:11 |
WOW ! The quality of Son and Daughter is stunning, are those a "new" mixes by JSS or Fredriksson ? |
Nitroboy 05.01.2014 05:36 |
Aren't some of these from the Golder's Green performance? |

Walter White wrote: ^ it's all already been shared here in the best quality: check the announce forum!!Wrong, mini disc is a lossy format |
Thistle 05.01.2014 06:34 |
^ Mini disc is indeed lossy, but still gives top-notch sound. Compression is not too bad on that format. We don't know the sources used on the radio programme. Also, the station haven't broadcast the full sessions: as such, the best quality, complete set, are the ones shared here via JSS and Pittrek. Anyhow, regardless of this "digital" radio malarky, I reckon they still use watermarks that transfer to your recordings to avoid pirating. I might be wrong, but it has been a tactic employed before. |
TomP63 05.01.2014 06:36 |
It was a fab hour, it reminds me of the superb haydays of the lads! I one for one I'm glad I was there. The tracks sound so crips and clear, and yeah slightly remixed, or not. Maybe, just maybe there were mixed for a future release...in 2014... Tom Thank you so much for the post and the link! |

^ about? I've never had any problems with the format, and have experienced the old watermarking technique employed by radio stations, so please explain what you're talking about. "Wrong" is vague. |
rocknrolllover 05.01.2014 10:09 |
Dreaming is not bad, but hardly the broadcast of separate tracks "Queen at the BBC" is prelude for future release, despite that you can notice the best quality sound on these tracks. |

Or, (whilst hating to be my usual cynical self) they were mixed for a past release...in 1996...!!!! :-) I know you're not a usual cynical.....it was my intention to leave it out that the Beeb tracks were promised back in 1996. "They"' made it world wide know by the printing on the CD singles... But on the otherhand the tracks as broadcast by the BBC 2 sound much better as the so-called B-side version back in 1996! Tom |

Noted that Barry Durex can't explain what the fuck he's on about. He's been given three opportunities, too.... |

Thistle 06.01.2014 16:10 |
^ short arse? lol. Truth is, I haven't actually said anything wrong. You can't explain yourself because you don't have the mental capacity. Never said I was clever either, dickhead. Pity your dad hadn't heard of durex before he boned yer maw. |
Wilki Amieva 06.01.2014 16:31 |
The LIVE AT THE BBC which was to be released in October 1996 used the original mixes, but remastered. The remaster was the same as in the Hollywood Records' LIVE AT THE BBC (swapped channels and all), only a bit louder. |

Raptor711 wrote: Is not available in my country!!! Anyone sharing??? ThanksTry and seek out a WAV file of the FM broadcast. The remastered tracks broadcast of course sound superb, and fill in many of the gaps on what has been officially released. Session 2 (2011 deluxe) only contained 1 track, this broadcast has the complete remaining 3 tracks. Session 5 (2011 deluxe) only contained 2 tracks, this broadcast contains the other 2 complete tracks. Session 6 (2011 deluxe) only contained 2 tracks, this broadcast contains the other 2 complete tracks. So a very nice upgrade, with no watermarks! |

^ If that was the case Mr. Durex, you could've just said instead of just picking at every word I put down, and I would have happily stood both corrected and better informed. You don't say much on this forum, but you're not the bampot you'd like us to think you are - you are actually a well informed guy and have contributed a lot of sense to QZ, and that would have been better respected. Instead, you wanted a slanging match. I may have been silly enough to have given you what you wanted, but no more - this really will be my last post to you on a public forum. Say what you want after this, but I won't be rising to the bait. And if you really do want that face to face chat, I'm more than happy to oblige. But discussing it here is not on. You'll know the time and place when I'm in front of you. |

Folks, I have found a nice way to download the whole broadcast. I downloaded Get_Iplayer and used the Web PVR mode once installed. I simply searched the radio section and downloaded the broadcast. Excellent software! Here's the link - link |
brians wig 09.01.2014 15:19 |
Sadly capturing the internet listen again only results in a 128kb/s file. Not much more than the digital broadcast I expect. Funny that Adam. I use get iplayer too! As for finding a wav of the FM broadcast Barry, does anyone these days even have the equipment? I have but sadly where I live my analogue signals are shit and I have to rely on either capturing internet streams after the event or capturing the digital transmission stream on my Amiko. |
Adam Baboolal 09.01.2014 16:47 |
Today was the first time I'd used Get_Iplayer :P As for recording it from Analog, sadly, I couldn't as I was travelling at the time. But at least I got to hear it in the car as I drove :) I'm pretty surprised no-one has a recording up on the "Sharing..." section. Very surprised, actually. |

I listened to the broadcast on analogue FM and it sounded wonderful. As regards capturing the digital stream, I am not familar with Amiko boxes, so I wouldn't know if any capture at the same bitrate as the live stream or not. |
