This is probably my own assumption but there is something in it that song that makes it have its own life. All the innuendo album is great but tsmgo is like having something that takes it to another level. I cant e?plain it. Its not about being musicaly superior from the other tracks. Its like it is more like a single that was created from more that the quartet of queen. Somekind of queen + quality. Like queen channeling something new that had never been done before and it was a one off effort that could not been repeated. Either that or i am just simly obssesd.
I think you are simply obsessed! :) And why not? We all have some song we think is beyond ordinary.
This theme of an entertainer performing though he may be going through personal hardships and pain is a very common one in many works of fiction, poetry, and music.
Good answer noorie. I have to say smgo is a powerful track with fred but the elton john/ballet version second brian solo gets me every time. Nothing to do with elton but it just seemed like the remaining queen put so much power and emotion into that performance.
I agree with crazy duck. Its as though they knew it'd be the last time they perform together. The second solo is absolutely immense and yeah, it totally gets me every time
