Ok Brian. Roger done a wonder with a new album and a Box Set (Minus CD packaging drama's). Your turn now to pull your thumb from your ass and release a new solo album. Who agree's? |

princetom wrote: ¿¿¿ what kind of place is this forum turning into ??? dude... i mean... srsly...It's astonishing, isn't it? Brian has made it clear that his days as a solo artist have more or less come to an end, and yet some of us still demand – not think about, or say, "Hey, wouldn't it be great if...", but DEMAND – that Brian cater to our every whim. Seriously, it WOULD be great if he did a solo album, but his heart is in so many other things right now, and considering his paltry contributions to The Cosmos Rocks, AND his usual piecemeal way of structuring an album through several years and sessions, I just don't think he has the desire to do it. Besides, it's easier to go out on the road with Kerry Ellis or as Queen + whatever flavor of the month c-lebrity they happen to like, than to work on a solo record. So no, Brian doesn't have to pull the thumb out of his ass. He can do whatever the hell he likes. The man has certainly earned it. |

Personally I can quite happily get by without another Brian May solo album. Besides, I'd rather he spend his time on the Freddie archive stuff. |

But that same principle of pulling his finger out applies to the Queen products as well, doesn't it? Sooner or later he's got to stop pleasing himself, and let it all out. |

When and what source has Brian said he is not interested in doing any more solo l.p.s?! He just put a classic live one out with Kerry Ellis and I think they pretty much indicated pretty heavily that a new studio l.p. will come out soon! It has also been in the media that Tony Iommi wants to record some sort of project with Brian of guitar riffs for people to sample from...though I guess that honestly would not really count as a solo l.p. so I don't know...but yeah I do wish he would do new stuff both those projects and of regular music with him singing. |

And I read somewhere (maybe around the turn of the century, I guess – not a valid source, but it certainly stuck with me) that the death of Cozy Powell really affected Brian, and he more or less lost interest in doing a solo career without Powell. I think the '98 solo tour was kind of a slog for him, because he'd been expecting to have Cozy along with him, and the two had such a dynamic relationship, that when he died, Brian more or less stopped his solo work then. Coincidentally, that was also right around the time that Queen kicked back up... |

My finger was never in Brian. What a difference an apostrophe might have made to the thread title lol :p |

Totally agree that Brian has earned the right to please himself, there is a new Kerry album in the works, he's posted several times that they've been in the studio recording New tracks so let's look forward to that, I loved the Anthems album, prefer a new Queen one, but I'll take what I can get, so long as it's quality. |

What give's you the right on this planet to place judgement on me? Who are you to call me or any one else a freak? I have just purchased Roger's "The Lot" and have had a little trip down memory lane, from his first album to his latest and it amazing how his style, mood and tone has changed over the years. It would be great to hear the same from Brian. But apparently, according to you I am freak? Really? A freak? ¿¿¿ what kind of place is this forum turning into ??? It's evident you are showing your support by making it a quality place with responses to post's complaining about the trash yet you make comment's that are troll like. Top work sport. |

i-Fred wrote: What give's you the right on this planet to place judgement on me? Who are you to call me or any one else a freak?well, actually it's the choice of your words. i cannot take anyone for serious who's swearing for no reason. you stated your point of view. fine. but your articulation sucks. bottom line. I have just purchased Roger's "The Lot" and have had a little trip down memory lane, from his first album to his latest and it amazing how his style, mood and tone has changed over the years. It would be great to hear the same from Brian.ok. that's a statement anyone can take for real. dude... "the lot" is great, and of course it would be great to see a similar product by the doctor... but anyway. i don't think that will happen in the near future. But apparently, according to you I am freak? Really? A freak? ¿¿¿ what kind of place is this forum turning into ???well, stating your point of view with some slang doesn't turn this forum into a place where people can have a nice discussion, does it ? and it's those communication-freaks who destroy the purpose of discussion into piles of shit. so, yes, i assumed that you are a freak. It's evident you are showing your support by making it a quality place with responses to post's complaining about the trash yet you make comment's that are troll like.if you're thinking, i'm a troll, it's fine by me. if other people think the same, i won't post anymore. just tell me. but see: i once enjoyed to follow this forum. in the recent past there are some really nasty guys who turn this place into shit. so for god's sake articulate like a man who at least got some education. most of the serious guys here have. you want to be taken for serious ? behave this way. Top work sport.actually not. but a pain in the ass. must have been digging my thumb to deep. :-) by the way... who do you like to reach by choosing the headline of this thread. it's just stupid. |

I've just got the live album that Brian did with Kerry Ellis, and it is pretty lovely really. Having said that, I do love his rockers too! If he does do another solo album, I would love to hear some more tracks like Resurrection and Cyborg. The soft stuff he did, like the song Another World could be done just as easily with Ellis I think. Just my opinion, of course. And another solo album could definitely be released in Roger style "Lot" pack too,I think. And that could be the reason for those archivists to go through all Brian's guest appearances as well and stick them together on some bonus discs for us. I would much rather have Brian and the Queen archivists do it and stick together something nice. In the meantime, I wlll live with my bitsa collection of singles and stuff and my bootleg version which also seems to include some interesting unreleased stuff. . |
