Made with kind permission from EMI I have just released a limited run of We Will Rock You art prints.
These prints, available from link, are made with the 'waveform' of the original song. Every beat, note, hand clap and string caught in a graphic. The lyrics are printed in the bottom right corner.
The prints are available in three colours sampled from the original single artwork and artwork associated with the musical.
Just in time for Christmas!
Regards
Nick
Although I like the idea, I don't like the price: GBP 85?? Please tell me you're donating GBP 75 from each print to the MPT, because if I'm not mistaken this is what you did:
1. Open the track in some mp3-editor
2. PrtScr
3. Paste into Photoshop
4. Apply circular filter/effect
5. Copy-paste lyrics
6. Ctrl P
Or is there some other secret to this?
Thank you for your interest in Tuneloop NCC1701Q
You missed a few things from the list:
1. Have the inventiveness to create a new concept from scratch.
2. Meet with representatives of Sony/ATV & EMI to present business plan, of which not many get the nod.
3. Negotiate rights via Sony/ATV EMI so that I can legitimately run the business and agree royalty payments for republication of lyrics.
4. Research ideal paper stock for longevity of print (kept out of direct sunlight these will last upward of 75 years).
5. Meet with print makers and create test prints.
6. Research lyrics to ensure that they are error-free.
7. Research original single/album artwork for colour sampling.
8. Design website.
9. Pay for website.
10. Pay for first four runs of 450 hand-pulled prints.
11. Learn everything about social media in an attempt to market the products.
And finally...
12. Spend time calmly explaining this to people that think it's as simple as running a pre-installed script. I do not use Photoshop in any part of the creation of these prints.
Kind regards
Perhaps my reply was a little curt but it can be frustrating for all of my work and quite literally years of negotiation to be dismissed in such a manor.
Just a guy trying to do something new and fresh, and of course it won't be for everyone.
To reiterate, these are strictly limited edition, officially licensed, hand-made products designed by me and printed by skilled experts. Mould-made paper with archive quality inks, not something spat out of a laserjet.
Thanks for your time.
Regards

Your reply was really kind in comparison to some other posts in this forum. Meanness, sarcasm and pure verbal cruelty is what brings this board to life! ;-) Totally see your point, btw. Nice work.
I love it. It is indeed a creative design and, if it's official-ish, then it's one of the better efforts.
For years I have been trying to LIKE something from the Queen Online Store, to no avail (enough to want to buy it, I mean).
A bit steep in the price department for me, though. I'd buy it if it were a $20-$30 USD poster, even if it didn't look too fancy.
Tunelooper,
thanks for your extensive summary of your activities. What a relief my opinion is not dismissed or ridiculized. I hope you did not think I was belittling your business.
I still think the price is way too steep for the product I am getting. That is my point of reference: what do I get for the money I have to give you. Two worlds apart, I admit. But if we agree that we can disagree, that's fine by me and I wish you all the best with your business!
Hello again
