So. Now. Although I doomed "the Lot" previously, it's a nice bunch of collectable material in one product, imho. . The sound quality stands out in most of the songs as we are able to hear them as clear as never heard before. ANd without those obvious mistakes in production this IS a standout production for newbies and completists. Nevertheless... this product misses some of Roger's songs and I will start to post them in hope that some guys here will follow me and maybe (hopefully!) do the same with their collectable stuff... Yes, it's MP3... hum. yes, i know... I'm not an audiophiliac but the information itself gets and sets me interested. That to speak: The songs themselves! I apologize to all those FLACers.. feel free to update !!! |
princetom 20.11.2013 11:46 |
Let's start with the "Olympic Theme" |
princetom 20.11.2013 11:49 |
btw.: If anyone of QPL should be offended by those songs, feel free to let me know in order that i can delete thus stuff immidiately... let's continue with a live recording of... "Rip It Up" (unknown Venue, unknown Date). nevertheless enjoyable :-) |
princetom 20.11.2013 11:51 |
(some kind of mistake has happened here :-) |
princetom 20.11.2013 11:54 |
what about... "A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall" ..? a classic song Roger did on his Happiness?- Tour... this one's from Nagoya, Japan, 1994/09/30 |
princetom 20.11.2013 11:57 |
let's continue with a descent live-recording of... "Happiness" (1994/12/08, France, Paris, Europe1 Studios, Afternoon show) |
princetom 20.11.2013 11:58 |
...being followed by "the Key" (same date, same venue) |
princetom 20.11.2013 12:01 |
yes... and another one from the same day, the same place, but from the evening show... it's "Touch The Sky"... enjoy ! |
princetom 20.11.2013 12:03 |
the last one for this session... a LedZep-classic Roger has done on the "electric fire"-tour some times... it's "Rock'n'Roll" (1999/04/02 UK, Portsmouth) |
princetom 20.11.2013 12:07 |
I hope you folks get the point! Don't be lazy, share your stuff that wasn't included in "the Lot".! Roger is one exceptional artist of his own and therefore his work and output -imo.- some kind of deserves to be honoured and be gathered by some dudes who admire that kind of dedication he has put into the less known songs and arrangements he did in his career. those that weren't included in his back-catalogue. greetz!! |

Rough Justice (US Version) Shove It (Extended Version) Liar (Live Promo Video Version) Put It All Down To Love (B-Side - Edit)official stuff for being released on commercial products in the past. bad luck. Dear Mr Murdoch (Demo) Nazis 1994 (Banned Version)i don't have them. sorry ! I Want To Break Free (B-Side - Live Sheeperds Bush 1994) Ride The Wild Wind (B-Side - Live Sheeperds Bush 1994)queen songs. therefore we'll have to wait for a proper boxset in 2037 to see them released. nevertheless pretty official. so there's no way to post them here. sry! DUDES... what about a collection of the best live-versions of songs that roger did on his tours ? i know that there's lots of material out there. and i started with some SB-recordings of his paris-gigs... would be nice to see some definitive collection of that very album songs he did on the road. anybody ? |

Surrender (Promo Version) could it be uploaded here? link |

Surrender (radio mix) is the same on the 1-track promo CDS and commersial CDS part1. There's no reason to post it here. Does anyone have proper HQ stereo version of Nazis 1994 'banned' in FLAC? |

Not sure I follow this thread, why are various live versions like Happiness and The key being shared? Anyway, did you know there is also a promo video for the banned version of Nazis? link |

Victor Kruger wrote: Not sure I follow this thread, why are various live versions like Happiness and The key being shared?why not ? they're soundboard recordings. i personally think they're nice to have. (and btw, i would love to see a compilation of roger's songs done live in the best available quality, each... but that's probably only wishful thinking, i guess ?) |
. 22.11.2013 07:33 |
^ But there are plenty of other soundboard recordings not included in The Lot. Are you hoping for them all to be shared in this thread? ........and it has to be said.........in mp3? FLAC download links: Nagoya, Japan, 30th September 1994 http://8c56tq.1fichier.com/en/ Portsmouth, UK 2nd April 1999 http://cozmkf.1fichier.com/en/ |

This is a great topic, thanks everybody for your shares, but i confess i'm a little confused. I would love for someone to compile a list of songs and music videos that weren't used in "The Lot". Then we can move on from there. The live - soundboard - songs are very welcomed, but lets try to differentiate what was released officially but not included in "The Lot" from rest, so i know what to download- for completion purposes. If someone has compiled such list and already has the files and could upload them in FLAC, that would be great. I love Roger Taylor solo work, specially "Electric Fire" wich i think is superb, but apart from the single here and there i never really focused too much on collecting Roger and "The Cross" as i have Freddie and Queen. I hope to rediscover "The Cross" on this new box set , but i really would love to have the missing tracks so i can have the entire Roger Solo Collection. |

The Lot DVD has album version. I didn't know the video with 'banned' soundtrack is different to common version. |

Nagoya and Portsmouth are audience recordings, I only posted the links for anyone who may want FLAC versions of the relevant MP3s you posted.thank you very much. In any event, why did you only share a couple of soundboard tracks, and not the complete concerts they came from?because i am looking for the ultimate version of every song done live. no need to post double versions, imho, or to post complete concerts. rog's queen-stuff for example is another cup of tea. i started to remember that there are some pretty good takes of several of roger's original songs (or live tracks) that weren't included in his retrospective. and i hope that some of the serious dudes here catch the train in order to complete such a collection in order to create a compilation that's worth to listen to. that's why i started the thread - although i know that i haven't much to offer but a few lousy MP3s. i just hope that people like the idea and contribute. Please don't take offence, I'm just still confused about this thread.hey, no problem. that's ok by me. i apologize for don't making clear my point of view. --- by the way. has anybody a listenable version of "the great music experience"'s "foreign sand ?". the record i collected musically is brilliant - but the quality is crap. |
