Hi.
I am completely new to the world of signed memorabilia, let alone queen items. I have been searching for a signed queen vinyl as a present for my wife who is a complete queen fanatic. I found a product I like. However I'm so worried of buying a fake. I have asked some of the autograph authentication sites, but have had mixed replies!
So I thought who would be better to ask than avid collectors and fans of the band. Who will know this stuff inside out.
I have attatched a photo of the item and would be extremely appreciative if you would share your opinions of whether it could be legit.
The item does come with paper work, and is claimed to have been signing at the 1989 breakthrough shoot.
Thank you in advance
As a certain Mr Kurgan from this site will tell us over and over again (after all, his point is valid and has always been acknowledged), there isn't anyone who can 100% say whether a signed item is legit or not, unless you happened to be there and got it signed personally (or seen it get signed). However, we can express opinion based on our own experience, and here is mine: Freddie and John signatures look good, and could possibly be the real deal. I'm not entirely convinced on Roger or Brian's signatures, so I can see why you're getting mixed opinion. Again, as Kurgan will tell you, we can sign something a million times and neither of the signatures will be identical. There can be an item signed when the artist has time to do it, and there may be a rushed example which looks shit but is equally as legit (he's tested us a few times and I tend to do OK, but am never right all of the time). My opinion is that this is OK, but that's just my opinion.
Thank you for you opinion. That's all I was wanting. I fully understand that signatures can be very different. Mine always are!. I just wanted a general opinion so I could atleast make an educated decision
