It seems the poll asking Queen fans if they are happy
with Queen working with Lambert is positive but i did not agree!
As a devoted Queen fan for over 41 years i am not a happy bunny seeing Brian & Roger playing with Adam Lambert.
Its seems to me that at the beginning it was a one off experience but now Lambert is a leach were Brian and & Roger perform and we dont seem to see Queen on stage without Lambert, so this is were i bow out for now.
I refuse point blank to buy any product Queen release with Lamberts vocals on it.
Lets face it Queen fans are treated appallingly by Brian and Roger because rather than getting unreleased concerts out on to dvd or new tracks out on cd they have wasted years with lambert at various events.
Freddie is worth so much more than how fans are treating him on here saying lamberts great, when in my mind they are all back stabbers!
Freddie is my number one idol and i will NOT have a pip squeak like lambert take freddies legacy away.
i cringe when i hear lambert singing Freddies songs.
Queen died the day freddie did.
More support for freddie and if you voted for lambert then your no Queen fan, just a back stabber!
Not happy either, and the reason the poll was positive is that it was being advertised on Adam Lambert-forums, so their own brand of stepfords came messing around here. The question is, what do you do about being unhappy with it? My solution is just ignoring whatever the hell it is they are doing with Adam Lambert and getting on with my life.
I have nothing against AL. I am sure he is a good singer in his own right. But to hear him massacre Freddie's songs is just a crime!
Of course Brian and Roger want to keep performing, but they could just sing the songs themselves. Or, have a spectacular show once in a while like the Freddie Mercury tribute, where they performed different songs with various bands and singers. That was a terrific show!
Freddie Mercury was a totally unique powerhouse! And irreplaceable! And Queen cannot be 'Queen' without John Deacon either. Just my opinion.
I never liked Adam's voice, until I've heard him singing one of his own songs. Now I think he CAN sing, he just can't sing Queen songs. I gave him a chance, but I don't like him in the band. The solution? I stopped listening to them. If Brian and Roger believe it's a good idea to work with him, I'm OK with it. I just won't listen to their gigs.

i for one are 100% happy with Adam Lambert working with Queen - as long as his role extends to nothing more than making the tea

Hadn't thought of that. If he's capable, I also have no problem whatsoever with him tuning the instruments backstage and carrying stuff.
^^^^ Because they are hoping the Glamberts will become Queen fans.... I was watching a Queen video while on my treadmill, and my neighbour's daughter asked if these were the guys who play for Adam... .
That is a new low!!!!!
as the (ahem amended) saying goes: "given an infinite number of unsuitable vocalists and an infinite number of meteorites....you'll eventually wind up with the complete Queen (post Freddie) album"
I have been looking at this topic over and over again, hoping to come up with a clever, rational and informed response.
The best I can come up with is "no, I'm not happy".
So there.

i suppose it's beyond the realms of reasonable expectations to hope that he gets hit by a meteorite?
I gather the odds are about 1 in 75 million. Still better odds than the chance that he manages to make a great album with 1/2 of Queen.
1 in 75,000,000????? fuck - that means that at the present time this accounts for 72 people of the current earths population died by being hit by meteorites?
fucking amazing stuff....and who says we can't learn things on this site any more...I'm stunned - genuinely
Yeah, I hear it's actually more common than being attacked by a shark. Still, I don't know how they count, exactly. It might be that a meteorite fragment hitting the room you are in at the time counts as a hit. I also think that Russian meteor-thing ( link ) didn't exactly leave the odds untouched.
well i suppose if you factor together,
being hit by meteorite
attacked by shark
hit by a truck
involved in plane crash
swept away in tsunami
then we at least reduce the chances of Queen+AL working together.....but is it a significant reduction
It makes no difference if I am happy or not.
If I was offered a free ticket, I can honestly say I would decline.
If pushed, I would take it and give it away to somebody who would appreciate it.
