Just spoken to Amazon. the Lot has been withdrawn due to a "faulty product". No news as to when it will be re-released if at all. Completely amateurish and a complete joke. I'm gutted :( |
Ron 06.11.2013 08:22 |
Probably related to the diff mix of Pressure On? Great how a fan can spot this based on a 90 sec sample but the company can't. |
Vali 06.11.2013 08:28 |
Mmmmmm .... shocking, to say the least. It's still on Amazon Germany. I ordered there and well, haven't noticed any delay/cancelling notification nor anything. It still says I'm receiving it on 13 / 14nov. Fingers crossed |
Michael Allred 06.11.2013 08:29 |
I'll believe it when there's something official stated. |

When they say "the whole lot" they are or are not talking about "The Lot". I guess that they do not really literally mean "The Lot". Good thing I did not purchase this. This no answer or clue as to whether or not this is or is not being sold in the U.S. i.e. on Hollywood Records or what have you. I don't understand the refusal to acknowledge one way or the other and being entirely uninformed as to what the deal is for something so simple and basic as that. |

My amazon.co.uk order is still open. "Delivery estimate Tuesday 12 Nov 2013" Am wondering why you (Cockeye) contacted their helpdesk in the first place anyway cause I have no reason right now to contact them about the order containing The Lot. |
Cockeye 06.11.2013 09:53 |
Because the product page does not state "out of stock" which it reads when a product has simply sold out. In this cases it tells you to order and that the order will be fulfilled when the item is back in stock. The message that was, and currently still is, displayed on the product page is that the product is unavailable. They use the message when a product is discontinued or no longer in print. |
inu-liger 06.11.2013 10:39 |
Shows this on my Amazon.ca order page for the item: "Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date" |

Just spoken to Amazon no problem at all with "The Lot" if you pre ordered before it became out of stock.Mine cost £82.31 and will be delivered on Monday 11th November. They are expecting more stock soon. |
rschoorl 06.11.2013 12:14 |
If you go on the Queen Online site for preorders, The Lot now shows a release date of 12/9, while Fun On Earth is still listed as 11/11. |

rschoorl wrote: If you go on the Queen Online site for preorders, The Lot now shows a release date of 12/9, while Fun On Earth is still listed as 11/11.But that was because they sold out their first stock due to unexcpected high volume of sales. It has nothing to do with the Amazon / iTunes thingy. |

I've emailed amazon for confirmation as well. I can understand that QOL sold out their first batch on ogre orders, and that Amazon may also have, but surely Amazon would just add an expected delivery date to it rather than say it's currently available? You'd also think that the RT publicity machine would be milking it with more 'sold out' announcements if the Amazon stock was gone for a positive reason?? How physical stock shortages would affect iTunes though, where it was withdrawn first, I don't really know either. I've messaged the official RT Facebook page too although don't expect a response. |

On to amazon as we speak for clarification especially as amazon.de have shipped. He now tells me there IS no problem as I will get my order as promised. I do apologise if I have worried anyone but I did genuinely get that email earlier. I suspect it is a vastly reduced stock issue. |
cmsdrums 06.11.2013 12:43 |
Well it's now back on iTunes (was definitely missing though), and still with 11 Nov release date; still has the 'wrong'/'alternative' version of 'Pressure On' on the sample. |

Well... new albums are released on fridays here in Germany! That's why Amazon is able to dispatch that early... I have to wait anyway - mine copies of FOE and The Lot will be delivered tomorrow... I also have got a link to download FOE from Amazon... I guess they just want to make sure the people at least have the music as long as the physical item is not supplied... The local shops have the regular album on sale today. The Lot isn't available in the shops and is marked as cancelled... |
JeroenG 08.11.2013 06:49 |
Just received my 'The Lot' box today (The Netherlands) Looks very good, just listened to the two The Cross bonus discs, sounds neat. Took a quick look at the DVD, merely the Roger/Cross video's plus some Roger live and the EPK's. Quality is OK, but definately not stunning. And spotted the first mistakes in the booklet. The credits from 'Blue Rock' are directly taken from Discogs.com , including the (2) suffix for Peter Noone and the ANV-asteriks for Josh Macrae.... that's something that could've been better.... Also missing the credit-info on the bonus tracks. But overall, I'm happy with..... |

Got 'The Lot' today. On the whole a really great box! ...though I've instantly noticed a couple of things: 1.) Wrong running order of FOE bonus tracks: "Whole House Rockin'" plays first, "Dear Mr. Murdoch" comes second. 2.) The whole 1st half of Electric Fire lyrics are missing in the book (it starts with "People on streets") 3.) Track skipping error on Shove It: 'Rough Justice' skips to the next track too early. |

The track already skips before the song is properly over - meaning that '2nd Shelf Mix' basically starts with the last 2 or 3 seconds of RJ... Regarding Pressure On: Yes, the version on 'The Lot' is definitely a different mix than on the original 1998 release. It completely misses the 2nd voice during the first chorus (starting 01:58) as well as some hihat here and there. Speaking of Electric Fire: "One Night Stand!" has been cut at the end of LTCD. |

Those involved with these sets like to take credit for the good bits; I'd like to know who is responsible for each bit (booklet text, cd running order etc) and for them to hold their hands up when things are wrong. The worst example was the half an interview missing from the 40th book - there was never an apology and it was almost presented as if the error was the work of 'the gods'; if we tracked down contact info to get hold of them we were offered an mp3 and expected to be grateful for it. I would ask who does the proof reading/listening for queen releases, but this clearly simply doesn't happen. (Half a lyric booklet missing for God's sake?!?) |

Just wondering... the Swedish remix of Shove It is supposed to be 5:34 long according to this scan of the label: link The box set version is however 5:04 so is this an edit or is the label info wrong? Or a completely diff mix? |

"403 - Forbidden" |
cmi 09.11.2013 04:20 |
Ron, recently I transfered this track from original vinyl. Running time of transfered track is 4:54. Possibly there was some speed issue, so it seems the 5:04 is correct running time of the track. Question: Is there any difference between Dear Mr Murdoch (nude mix) from Fun On Earth CD and Dear Mr Murdoch (2011 version) from Singles 2 CD? As I hear, Dear Mr Murdoch (nude mix) is the same as the one which was released in 2011. Or it is the 3rd track which is repeated twice in The Lot? Shove It (extended) and Heaven For Everyone (Freddie vocal) are two others. |

It doesn't look like Amazon will be dispatching to me today. Honestly I'm not overly bothered about having to wait for the box since I already have most of it, but I what am upset about is that I cannot hear the Fun on Earth album until it arrives. I do not plan to buy the standalone as well just because they fucked up the boxset, nor am I going to take a first listen off mp3 or spotify. FoE is all I really cared about getting quickly, so this is very annoying. |

I got a phone call earlier stating 19 December, followed up by email confirmation, and that's also what it states on my order page. But then suddenly out of the blue about 30 mins ago, got this : Your Account Amazon.co.uk Message From Customer Service Hello, Further to your query, I have received an update from our Fulfilment team regarding the "The Lot" availability. They have advised us that they will be available from the 17th of November and dispatch the order as soon as possible, for you. I hope this helps. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Warmest regards, Melodie B Amazon.co.uk |
Pingfah 13.11.2013 10:54 |
Considering the Queen website isn't even taking orders for it anymore, I'm gonna bet that the 17th does not happen. If it does, they will be reprinting sets they know have major errors since they couldn't possible correct the mastering errors in that amount of time. I cannot see them deliberately letting themselves in for even more pressure from irate customers. I reckon they have pulled all remaining stock, and will be either scrapping the release entirely, or attempting to replace the dodgy discs and book in each set before sending them out again. The HMV I went to said it just never turned up, no explanation from the distributor. |

Would a corrected version not have the "short promotional film" (i.e. "music video") for the song "I Wanna Testify"?! That is such a classic and vital clip of Roger Taylor's! One of the many reasons I had hoped to get this box set! It is reminiscent in a number of ways of "Bohemian Rhapsody"! |

I hardly think so. Alex has a habit of asking questions repeatedly, even after people have answered them for him, and he never acknowledges that they've been answered or thanks anyone for answering them. If it was someone else, sure, that would have been an over the top response and uncalled for, but Alex is a different story. |
