Can't believe this hasn't got a topic already!
So, what so we think?
Admittedly only listened to on iPhone earpieces from the samples, but Blue Rock finally had some bottom end!
Interestingly, FOE is only presented in its 13 track version, not the supposed 15 track edition, so have QPL or iTunes cocked up there?
I can't hear anything from iTunes, but if someone could upload any sample of Blue Rock it would be great.
I hope the remastered version of this album is good.
It is great to hear how Roger used some elements from I Want To Take You Higher in I Can Take You Higher. And these jam sessions sound more like complete songs than just a jam. To me they sound like the leaked versions that we already have, just in better quality, I Can Take You Higher is ofcourse the full version, but Celebration is about 30-40 secs shorter.
Third post.. sorry about that... why is Shove It (Extended) listed twice? Once as the last track on the Shove It album and once on the singles disc? Wasnt the 2nd Shelf Mix initially advertised on the Shove It album?
Am still hyped though :D Finally a descent Queen-related box set!
And I still think it is a pity though that they forgot to include the Long Version of Put It All Down To Love...

First two albums sounds incredible. So much work has been done including (I'm pretty sure) some clever remixing. Very Nice.
I was wondering if the first two albums would be remastered AGAIN, seeign as they were already done for their initial CD release a few years ago.
I'm very doubtful that they would have remixed - perhaps an additional remastering of these albums has just brought out some specific parts due to their frequencies, making it sound a lot 'fresher'.
I'm looking forward to having a month or two of nothing but RT and The Cross in the car!!!

The preview for the 'Electric Fire' version of 'Pressure On' appears to be a slightly different mix from the original: specifically the chorus part after the 'worried about my weight' lyric.
Also I've noticed running time differences of the tracks from Happiness and Electric Fire (from 5 to 10 seconds) in comparison with original CDs. Possibly there'll be no crossfades between tracks on EF.

You're right! Just checked it and the harmony vocal is missing from the first half of the chorus following that verse.
Intentional or yet another fuck up? Don't start me off on my usual argument regarding lack off proof reading/listening.....

The two extra tracks are for the box set only.
I'm aware of this Gary, but it IS the box set version of Fun On Earth that I am referring to with these previews, not the standalone 13 track Fun on Earth, so I am not sure why these two tracks are missing from the previews.
Can you also comment at all on the variant 'Pressure On' version?
Thanks
How bizarre. Would be good know the reason why. I can't think there's any rights issues - perhaps 'Pressure On' is not the right mix after all, and part of it that was not included on the iTunes sample differs massively from the correct 'Electric Fire' version?
Hopefully not and it's something simple; Gary - any idea what's going on please??
I don't know anything about the itunes situation.
A reply from Josh about 'Pressure On' though =
"That's an edit error . . .
Tell all the folks out there who spotted it they get a gold star and, well, . . it's a small piece of uniqueness . ."
Will it remain on the final product? Have to admit, would be nice to have this variant in full, kinda like the unintentional stripped back mix to the chorus, as it makes for a better dynamic in some way :-)
Nice to know from Josh; thanks Gary.
Sadly it's further proof that there really isn't much that goes on in the way of proofing final releases - I'll stick this version on my shelf along with my Jealousy remaster with the missing kick drum beat, and my half an interview!! :-)
