The large picture of Roger with the "text "Coming soon" is gone - the page is now all blank with some wordpress-code in the source of the page. Could it be coming online today? |

Ah Ha! I just logged in to post the same thing.....here's hoping after weeks of checking for the site to go live. Perhaps some definitive information about 'The Lot's' track-listing will also be forthcoming! |

at last, most of the details for The Lot are available at http://www.rogertaylorofficial.com/ !! Celebration, I Can Take You Higher and I Can't Get You Out Of My head are included in The Cross Singles 2 ! |

It is NOW online, complete with tracklistings for "The Lot". Misses off the Japanese mix of "Dear Mr Murdoch" in favour of the 2011 mix and also some of the Nazis mixes but does include 4 'new' Cross tracks. Overall I'm VERY disappointed as there are other unreleased tracks we know about which could have been included, nevermind tracks we don't know about. Another wasted opportunity and yes, Rhys Thomas, of COURSE it'll be the fans upgrading their collection who will buy this.... |

very disappointing. i would have hoped for some songs NOT being around for ages. not even the "olympic theme" ? for gods sake: another product i don't need. seriously... who actually is interested in several mixes of "nazis1994" ? well, yes, a nice collection for a newbie-fan. no doubt. but i would have hoped for a RARITIES disc. lost oppoertunity. so... anybody here who will submit some additional songs ?? :-) |

What's the deal with "Heaven For everyone (Freddie)" So we are going to get this track twice? on "Shove It" & on "Cross Singles" Why???? oh yeah so we can listen to them back to back!!!! Fantastic...not + Makes you wonder if anyone ever does any research.. on the "Blue Rock" Notes, there's a section about the upcoming Cross reunion gig in Guildford in December :- "A one-off Cross reunion set, featuring all original band members, was announced in July 2013, and is scheduled to take place in December at the annual SAS Band show in Guildford, Surrey, England. The event will celebrate 20 years since the five musicians met." 2013 minus 20 years = 1993 What?????? Agreed with Brian's Wig...I am Very Disappointed in what is included, could have included so much more, like "Keep On Running" & Even the "Reaction" Acetates... |
Pingfah 23.10.2013 08:34 |
Probably means 20 years since the musicians last met, which was presumably at the final gig in Gosport. Amazing gig that was. Also, website seems to have gone down. |

From Jacky: "Just had a chat with the RT website team - we did indeed manage to come across the site while it was being briefly tested! THUMBS UP: Non-album tracks in high quality: - Testify era - Fun In Space era - Strange Frontier era - Manipulator - In Charge Of My Heart Bootlegged but now in high quality (I hope): - Celebration - Can't Get You Out Of My Head Full version of a previously available song only as a 40 sec excerpt: - I Can Take You Higher DON'T HURT BUT DON'T BLOW MY MIND EITHER: - Top Of The World (Extended) - Passion For Trash (Josh on vocals) THUMBS DOWN: - No Keep On Running - No I Wanna Take You Higher - No Lucille - No Olympic Theme (I honestly don't care) - No A Nation Of Haircuts (Number 4 All Over) - No RT unreleased songs or demos - No RT work-in-progress versions - Heaven For Everyone (Freddie) twice? HONORABLE MENTIONS: - What is "Shove It" (US edit) doing at the end of TC Singles disc 2? - While the site was active, the handwritten lyrics book included a song called "Over My Dead Body" Overall I am happy with this release, but it has anything absolutely unknown to all of us. Just my two cents. |

So it seems this is almost Freddie Solo Collection level of greatness, except for the unreleased material part but I never thought this would include much unreleased material. This is supposed to be Roger's full body of RELEASED work, isn't it? Not a Beatles Anthology type of thing with a bunch of demos. Complains about this release show that there's no way to please everybody. Olympic theme? WTF?! Next we'll have someone complaining we don't have all 18 "Interlude in Constantinople" takes. Geez! Just try to get a hold of all these song versions on physical format and I'm sure you will spend much more than the current retail price for "The Lot". I guess we've been spoiled by convention recordings and downloads. |

The tracks I wanted in a quality release was Roger doing Foxy Lady. That is a great version. Also, the versions of I Am the Walrus and Jealous Guy |

I'm presuming that Foxy Lady will be included on the 'Mad,Bad...' album as it will be the CD version, not the vinyl release? Then again, the Queen reissues weren't based on the CD versions so that's no guarantee. |

The one on QOL says 'Foxy Lady' IS on 'Mad, Bad...' but the one on the official Queen Facebook EXCLUDES 'Foxy Lady'. I'm guessing that as it says the set contains "8 original CD albums", 'Foxy Lady' will be there as it was on the 'original CD' of 'Mad, Bad...' 'Shove It' is listed to contain 'The Second Shelf Mix' which was only on the CD release so 'Foxy Lady' should be there on these grounds. Plus Fun On Earth is listed on FB as exclusive box set version but then shows only the same 13 track 'standard' version!! The usual inconsistencies and errors in pre release info - what a bunch of tools. |
GT 23.10.2013 16:08 |
There would be no reason to include tracks recorded by The Reaction or any other of RT's pre-Queen bands. This is a set that covers RT's own solo years and The Cross. The same reason as to why there is no tracks by other artists where RT contributed music, vocals or writing and production. |
Ouzy 23.10.2013 16:36 |
Ive ordered my copy from QOL :) Yay...cant wait...I agree with GT, I wouldnt be expecting anything other than The Cross and Roger Taylor solo stuff, and having only 3 of the albums myself this will be a great way to get a handsome box set with all of the albums and some extras too :) and if im lucky a framed print with RT's autograph..(well someones got to win it) |
silver_salmon 23.10.2013 16:36 |
Hi Greg, do you know why Foxy Lady is not included in the MB&DTK or Cross Singles CD?, problems with copyrights? |

GT, and what are the reasons for: 1. inclusion 'Heaven For Everyone (Freddie vocal)' twice 2. inclusion of 'Shove It (extended version)' twice 3. not inclusion of 'Keep On Running' and 'I Wanna Take You Higher' 4. waste space for useless edits and some Nazis remixes instead of additional live material for example. 5. not inclusion of 'I Wanna Testify' and 'Future Management' TV performances on DVD ??? |

Whilst I applaud Roger for including some of the unreleased tracks which have been widely bootlegged for the last decade, it's a huge disappointment that there weren't more of them. We KNOW Roger recorded a bunch of tracks for Strange Frontier that never made it, so where are they? Perhaps at least you could confirm that all of the albums HAVE been remastered for this release please....? |
AlexRocks 23.10.2013 16:51 |
I would imagine that from a business standpoint (like I THINK Roger said) was that they wanted to do some type of re-release to get his catalog back in print. In terms of things that we were hoping to get that are rare or unreleasedI would imagine that either a future release will contain them or a re-re-release of this in a decade or so. It makes quite a bit of sense to do what he is doing now. It's really exciting as I would have thought from a strategic point of view it could have been a decade or two before any type of Roger Taylor box got released if they were going to do a series of Queen box sets first. So at this time "The Lot" is very exciting "as is" as far as I am concerned. It's REALLY cool that there is any type of extra stuff in this compilation as it is as a decade ago things like this rarely if ever happened before for anyone. I just hope that this sells well and we see some type of release date for Hollywood Records of which if I recall correctly has already been stated that they WILL release this as well. I. Just. Don't. Know. When. |

cmsdrums 24.10.2013 00:43 |
GT: if you're able to advise what the difference is in 'limited collectors editions' of the set to normal versions this would be good (as mentioned in the early press release). Thanks. Also, can you say why proof reading of the tracklistings on the Facebook pages didn't take place, leading to several errors. Thank you. As a general comment, I do agree that it would have been great to see the inclusion of a few more of the unreleased RT tracks, but I do at least understand this time. This is a compilation of released material, but we just get the additional The Cross stuff as it's likely to be the last ever opportunity to release that, whereas hopefully there may be another chance for a release of a fully cd of unreleased RT solo tracks in the future. |

I shall be disappointed if the 'Dear Mr Murdoch Nude Mix)' ends up being something new they have spent time creating especiially for this set (like some of the Queen deluxes issue mixes), when they have excluded the oriignal Japanese promo version of this track, and also a couple of other unreleased Roger solo tracks that we know of. |

If it isn't, I might well consider not getting the set as I have nearly all of it already. ....and having just searched Universal, Virgin, EMI and subsiduaries, I can find no trace of Roger as an artist, or with any release news at all. Nice label backing there then!!! |

I never expected this kind of treatment for a drummer.I think you're missing the whole point of this set, in that as a solo artist he is a singer/songwriter/guitarist etc.... and deserves to be credited, especially above all by a "Queen Fan" as more than just "a drummer"!!!! I never said that he was "just a drummer". If you read again my post you'll see that it's suppose to be positive to everyone, even for good ol' Roger Taylor. |

Mr. QueenFan how can you say you never expected this "for a drummer"?! Well, first off Roger is more than some "drummer" but also this box set has been talked about for a decade now. They have just been waiting on the right time to do it and release it. |

What i said was that i didn't expect this kind of treatment - meaning, a Box set like the Freddie Mercury one, a book with 12 cd's. This isn't just a box set. This is platinum treatment for Roger, and this i wasn't expecting. It doesn't mean that i don't agree with it, because i believe that this is the way to do it. I just didn't expected. It seems that in Queenzone people like to argue a lot. You're the second guy picking on the just a "drummer line". What i find interesting and funny is that a post that was supposed to be positive is turned into a negative one by people like you and cmsdrums. I'm not going to explain that line. Read it as you wish but leave your condescending tone outside this discussion, or at least when replying to me. I don't need it and it's not welcome. |

Hi Just want to apologise for any bad vibes from my comment - definitely not any intent to start a fight, and I think I must have just being defensive over all the general public 'just a drummer' comments!! ?? |

Considering how negative and tense this website has become over the past decade, it really does not take much at all to set off some bad fireworks around here. Seriously, people NEED to learn to fucking relax and sip the Kool Aid. Jesus Christ. |

Roger is one of the most brilliant people in rock. |
