Sigh. "Live At The Rainbow" would be served much better in a career spanning compilation. That also would be served much better if a new studio l.p. were to be done and toured for first. As in Queen + whoever before a studio l.p. of unreleased stuff with Fred. In the meantime an audio concert or two should be released from the early years that does NOT correspond to something filmed. Did Queen not do great concerts?! I'm so confused. |

So I would not count your Chickens....for 2014... but hopefully I get proved wrong...... |

You can't trust a Queen release to happen until the day it physically appears in the stores. |

No "short promotional film" i.e. has been released for Roger Taylor's new song from his new solo studio l.p. which is released in a week in his box set "The Lot". Nor has there been a tracklisting of what is in the box set. How bizarre. Does anyone have any contact to ask why for so many years it seems as if no one cares about things? |

We're still waiting for the "year of live releases" that 2012 was supposedly going to be. Can they never get anything done? |

Until I've got the product in my hands I simply can't believe that ANYTHING they talk up is actually going to really get released. Sad to say, but QPL suffers from the worst case of 'the boy who cried wolf' syndrome I've ever seen!! |

Can't tell you who, but I've been told rainbow 74 will be released next year with bonus material, also a CD release. |

By the way, don't hold your breath for it to be released in 2014, Believe it when you see it!!!! ;-) |

A standard definition Blu Ray would be nice (since only SD only is available) ..... complete with the power failure and missing songs! |

Does anyone have any idea why QP keep letting us down with these promised releases? They just seem to be deliberately upsetting there longterm hardcore fans for the last 5 years or so. I've been so looking forward to Rainbow and previous to that Hammersmith and I find it baffling why QP keep letting us down. They always seem to have many irons in the fire, but then the fire goes out! |
MERQRY 22.10.2013 01:26 |
Ok, so next year.... Lemme put it along with The Queen box set, Hammersmith 75, etc etc... |

Do you mean the 3/31/74 gig?If so, I'd want to tell you "march" rainbow is not the "3rd" night --of the other november nights--... it's even a different tour, so maybe it could be named as 1st Rainbow Night from Queen II tour but never as a third night.andyb1968 wrote: Can't tell you who, but I've been told rainbow 74 will be released next year with bonus material, also a CD release.GB talked about the release of the Rainbow DVD/CD set at this years convention, I think he said it was to be an amalgamation of all three nights, well the main 2 nights and the little bit of footage they have from the 3rd + an Audio CD. I'm still waiting for the Queen Anthology Jim Beach told a Queenzoner (face to face) would be released in 2009, which was waaaaay into the future back then. I think this happened back in 2005-2006, around the first Q+PR. Most of us in this forum were naive enough to think "Naaah, that can't be right. It's got to be sooner than that!". |
Missreclusive 22.10.2013 09:19 |
When you have that much money and clout you pretty much do as you want and when you wish! I don't think they say things to aggravate the fans or to disappoint. Life and other things get in the way and they just don't do a thing called "caring" about the long time fans. They figure there's always more where we came from! Then there's the ones in the organization who want control and recognition and leak the word of a new release just to glorify themselves for the moment. This is my down time, one of the things I do to relax therefore...no way I'm going to get all upset when promises are made and it doesn't come about...it's kind of amusing. Especially amusing to me that fans take it all so seriously. I think I love Queen as much as the next older fan does but hey...my life certainly doesn't revolve around the next release. I just think it rather sad that there could be some great stuff in the vault that the world could enjoy. I also would love to see Rainbow and Hammy released but if not, the Youtubes will suffice. |
Band Forever 23.10.2013 07:44 |
Although the live releases would be nice. I am with MissReclusive and others QPL, should give priority to the unreleased material which Brian May has just discovered. Imo this would spark more interest from a wider audience not just the fandom. |
