Official Queen press releases has previously stated new "single" has been played, and more recently play listed, by Radio 2.
There doesn't appear to be a promo video, and there have been no details at all (that I've seen) relating to a release of the 'Sunny Day' track independently of the album on 11th Nov.
Can anyone confirm if this truly is a 'single', which to my mind would mean a standalone release from the album, at the least as a download, but ideally on CD single too, or is it simply a 'track' which radio stations have been advanced?
If it IS actually a single, some details of how to purchase it might be a good idea?!? - if it's not, then I guess it's the 'business as usual' incorrectly worded press release again.
Finally do we know if the radio stations have received promo CDs of this track, or just a digital version to play? Presumably if a cd we might see some copies on the collectors market soon.
We got 'The Unblinking Eye' in CD form so it's hard to take if there isn't one for 'Sunny Day' when it's the lead radio track at the time of loads of promo action going on for the album.
Cheers!
That answers the question regarding radio stations being given that specific track on physical format.
Now just need to know if it's truly a 'single' (as referred to by QOL) that we can buy!
I also found it puzzling. It's a very nice tune, could certainly appear on charts, even if it was due to people mistaking it for Rod Stewart! ;-) Anyway, not the best method to promote an album.
Roger was on a show here in uk called the one show on Friday 18-10-2013
he spoke about the album and they played a clip of Sunny Day with a promo video.
no release date was mentioned other than for the album so we live in hope

No physical commercial single release is planned at this time...
Cheers for this info - so 'Sunny Day' is not, despite QOL's protestations, a single!
No, I mean a COMMERCIAL single to buy in physical form. No release plans are on any official web site and the little clip looks not like an professional filmed clip for a single promotion...
... by the way, I also hope for a single!
There will be no single releases off the album!!! Use your brains Roger is releasing The lot.....so if he was to release singles from Fun on earth. The Lot would not be The lot would it now>?

With that sort of logic he won't be releasing anything ever again after 'The Lot' is released.
