According to link Universal plans to issue 200 albums in 14 countries "very quickly". At launch, the UK catalogue will contain albums such as The Velvet Underground and Nico's self-titled debut, Queen's A Night At The Opera and Marvin Gaye's What's Going On? in an admission of modern listening habits, albums purchased in the Blu-Ray format will come with a free copy of the lower-quality digital version. "Blu-Ray is a copy-protected format," said Murphy. "If someone has spent £15 on a product, he should have the right to put it on their iPod and listen to it when he's doing his fitness programme." Eventually, the Pure Audio files could be distributed digitally themselves - but with a four-minute song needing 1GB of storage space, Murphy said it would be "three to four years" before that was a reality. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Queen released their entire back catalog on this format, albeit in stereo so no need to do any remixing. This maybe not such a bad thing in lossless audio and should be better than the CDs which they have attempted so many times to squeeze as much as they can out of the PCM format. |

I'm wondering why a homophobe calls other people "dear" and "darling". But yes, the product IS "boring" |

The ANATO-blu-ray is already available in the Netherlands through bol.com for €22,99. After a first quick listen it does sound a bit "fresher" but that could be just "wishfull listening". It also comes with a code which can be used to download the songs in "high definition format". The soundoptions are stereo and 5.1, both in PCM 96/24 and DTS-HD-MA 96/24. |

Is anybody surprised that the only BluRay CD [sic] is the same that's already been released on every other format? That's the one where all the work has already been done, unlike Queen 11 [sic] which would require Brian and Roger to "get their arses in gear". |

The disc or sleeve don't mention any region-lock or the region-lock-symbol with a letter in it. It does say "Ultra high definition audio. No video content". The only "video" it shows is the album sleeve on the left of your screen and the tracks and audio-options on the right. |

Real Wizard, I don't think you're going to get a response . His seriously advanced intelligence has allowed him to skip past and or ignore your very valid question! Shame really I thought I, like many others here, could have learnt from his ongoing wisdom covering that particular subject. |

As i said earlier, to me it sounds a bit "fresher", but I am neither an audiophile with "professional" ears, nor do I own a multi-thousand-€ hifi-setup.... |

Queen have the full multi track masters of A kind of Magic album but they will not release them because they do not contain One Vision and they lost the masters of that. They only have the full multi track master of One Vision The Cross version with Roger on vocal and slightly diferent lyrics but apparently part of its lyrics were written by some third person (no idea who) so they wont release it. |

I know it from REAL collectors who have heard that version of One Vision. That song was The Cross pilot project, with original lyrics written by Roger and someone who was to be in The Cross but then left (and again no idea who) about Martin Luther King but then Roger gave Queen the song after Live Aid and it was turned into a general euphoria randomness song. The original was titled I Had A Dream and sounded like a hybrid of One Vision and A Kind of magic, with lyrics about Martin Luther King. The Queen "A kind of Vision" was largely the Queen embryo of that, with the original lyrics removed (though the "I had a Dream" part was later reinstated in the middle of One vision). "I Had A Dream" by Roger and the other person was originally recorded in 1984 but never released because as I say above, Roger gave it to Queen. There also is "Hammer to Fall" early demo version which is much like the slow half played on Paul Rodgers tour but complete song, but the collectors i talked to were not sure if vocals only Brian or also Freddie in like duet. This demo is from 1983. While the collectors i talk to lack these two songs, they have lot of other goodys such as original 7:32 version of Bo Rhap with MUCH long opera section and Princes of the Universe early piano version (much like 2011 released "Football fight" piano vers) but refuse to release anythign beyond info because they know Fanthology and know Fanthology would accuse them of steal the songs from Fanthology vault and they know Fanthology has lot of paid shill on this board such as Inu Liger who do everything to make everyone accept Fanthology version of events while making sure any opposition is insulted and marked as stupid (example would be Grateful Fan who tarred and feathered by Inu Liger and other Fanthology paid shill on this board). But the collector may give the raritys to Dave R Fuller for release on Youtube, much to Fanthologys chagrin. They know of Fuller and think he is the one that need be protected from Fanthology Scientology like treatment. |
