I've only heard two or so of their songs, but they sounded nice enough. Definitely better quality music than Adam Lambert, or most contemporary artists Brian & Roger associate themselves with.
Holy crap!!! The show just wrapped up & to me, it was utter perfection, no lie... I was in tears nearly the entire time. Flawless performances by ALL. Who Wants To Live Forever by Adam (a minor hit in the US) literally excited and commanded the crowd. Fun were simply amazing on Somebody To Love. Adam has never sounded better overall, on every one of these tunes. Fat Bottomed Girls was a triumph. Dragon Attack? F*C& yeaah!!! We Are The Champions had everyone on their feet & singing along, which is some feat considering the brevity of the set (they were allotted) and the US audience. Bri & Rog firing on all cylinders & just KILLING. Seriously amazing... certain to be released on video in some form.

Hey Gonna,
Some people will always find a reason to bitch and moan. Others, like us, are much more positive and enjoyable to be around. And we probably have a lot more fun in our lives too ;) Cue negative rant from Queen "fans."

Knowing it was aimed at me, I have to fend for myself: Do I have
the right to disagree with that vision of heaven this Gonna guy
saw in the concert? I'm not a Queen fan with quotes, I'm a real
Queen fan for almost 30 years and disagreeing the show was
phenomenal like he said is me just being honest. The show
was just Brian and Roger having a lil bit of fun, Adam yelling, oversinging, lacking timing and mistaking lyrics as always.
Nothing surreal, nothing inspirational, nothing near as close
as a breath of fresh air.
I have to confess one thing: I liked Adam Lambert when he was
in American Idol, I thought he was a great new finding and a
very talented guy. But in my humble opinion, he just doesn't
fit Queen. Though he has a very high voice, his style to me,
is too annoying to sing Queen songs. Just hitting the notes does not make him the man to do the job. Too theatrical, too
unecessary fancy singing, oversing, too much vibratto and
the list goes on. I think he should stick with his own music,
but if the bosses think he has a place... I can only have my own opinion: Adam doesn't fit Queen.

GonnaUseMyPrisoners, Fun were awful. They played badly and their singer sounded like he either couldn't hear himself or the rest of the band
It was not the vocal performance I had hoped from Nate, who is a really good singer IMO, but I don't quite agree with that statement. He seemed in time, and quite aware of where the band were. It just wasn't his best, although was still better than AL.
The problem with we Queen fans is that we had the bar set high when Freddie was around. Sure, he wasn't flawless, but we are lucky to have had a band like queen, and a true one-off like Mr. Mercury. I'm scared about going off on a long tangent with that notion, but I'm sure you get what I'm saying - maybe we just all expect too much. It must be one hell of a pressure to try and pull off a queen song, in front of such an audience and in front of the band themselves. Daunting thought!
Anyway, Brian was absolutely awesome on this performance. Definitely not losing any of the magic. That, alone, keeps the band worthwhile.
Skeptical =/= Cynical, as someonewholikesadam would seem to suggest; Thistleboy managed to be slightly critical and still pretty damn positive in his post...
A less 'extravagant' performance by Adam Lambert, which is a good thing. Even his outfit, which I thought looked hideous in last year's gigs.
I love FUN. Not Nate's best performance vocally -he can do much better- but it is a really tough song to sing, they had nearly zero rehearsal and I believe the song was on its original key. George Michael sung it a semitone lower at the FM Tribute.
Just look at Nate the guitarist's faces when Brian starts playing the solo during Somebody to Love. They are obviously thrilled to be there and loving every second of it. Fat bottomed girls was also good with all the voices in the choruses.
Also, Mr. May is on great shape. He aced the gig.
