Hi !
I'd like you to ask if it is possible that the show that has taken place on 25th april was filmed ?
I have recently watched tv report from this day posted on Youtube link
and @3:32 Freddie begins to sing BoRhap so it made me wonder if apart from the cameraman filming the journalist was there another one filming the show.
Or radio ga ga from this gig is the only pro-shot footage that we have ?
Cheers !
^ AFAIC, the only full song filmed professionally was RGG. There might be one or two small snippets captured for the purpose of the TV report, but I think RGG is about it.
Anything's possible, but this is likely one of those cases where just one song was filmed for TV.
It was the same deal in Mannheim 86. In fact, the German TV presenter said precisely this:
"We would love, of course, to show you more footage of the show, but the air time is limited and I have to tell you also that it's also the band's management's fault, because they allowed us to film only 3 minutes, but I believe that 3 minutes are enough for this great band."
If anything exists I'd say it's in a private collection rather than TV archives, I contacted the TV station and the owners of the rights of the Mike Walsh show years ago and they only had the airied episodes themselves and not concert rushes.
We see on this episide that they show the start of the show and then, shortly afterwards they go to Radio Gaga towards the end of the show which suggest show footage was recorded and not just beamed live.

You've got a very good point here. I'm very intrigued with this, because unlike Mannheim 86 and in many other artist's concerts, when there is a limitation of time for broadcasting it usually is on the first couple of songs. After that they are not allowed to record or even to be in front of the stage for fotos.
In this case it's clear that the conditions were special and it was a big deal in Australia for Queen to be there, and Molly pulled a few strings here and there, but it's clear that Queen were treated very good while in Australia, so they might have allowed for them to tape more footage and only show a song - maybe their latest hit single or just a song of their choice. But i think that they've recorded a couple more songs in the beginning just in case.
